Even the genius Kiffin can't call plays without blocking. Sarcasm. I'm glad they didn't give to kamara, that's all we needed was our best playmaker added to the injury list. Let's heal up, win out and shock those ass hole bammers

He had a far worse oline his 1 year here, and didn't lose to bama by 39.

We've gotten blown out by one "better team" this year, and it was after a brutal 4-game stretch with half of our starters hurt.

We've been blown out by 1 "better team" over the last two seasons...you have go back to Bama in 2014 to find our last double digit loss (14 points)...

And defensively if anyone thinks Shoop is better than Jancek, they're on drugs. Why in the hell did we get rid of a DC that was already successful?

Jancek had success in the SEC, Shop had success in the Big 10. Yeah, I'll leave with that 👍

Can definitely tell you're right by the number of DC offers Jancek has had lined up since he got canned.........

"Shoop likely stays, he hasn't preformed as well as everyone thought and isn't a sure thing HC candidate as anticipated"

I do not agree with this statement- since his defensive players have been plagued with so many injuries and suspensions. Heck, I would be safe to say that most DCs faced with the same circumstances could do no better with what has been delt to him. Look at our roster on Defense. It is mostly lower classmen (one-two years experience). He has been an improvement to this staff more than you give him credit.

I was hoping Auburn would tank this year and Gus would be available. But I would love to see us go after Mullen if he gets canned after this year. I think Sark to Bama may have sent a message to a lot of SEC coaches. A player on the team that I know said one thing the team noticed immediately in pregame warmups and on the sideline was how many coaches Alabama had compared to the vols. Mullen is very proven as an OC. Debord could be definitely worse. I honestly don't think he's been as bad as some do. But he isn't what I would consider a stellar OC. If he is here next year it will be interesting to see how he handles his new situation (better passing QB, hopefully better Oline).

Other places had gained interest in him mid season 2015, and Jancek turned them away because he had no plans of leaving Knox. Family loves it here.

What I can't figure out is why no member on Vol Nation has been hired to ever coach any level of football team or any media person since they have all the problems solved

He was not in his 4th year with 3 full recruiting classes

Nor did he have to follow one of the worst CFB coaches of all time and a guy that brought NCAA sanctions against the school in his one short season here. Oh and then have one of the worst recruiting classes in a decade. Geez, how could I forget, Kiffin didn't follow a coach who recruited zero OL in his last season.

Nah. Kiffin only followed one of the greatest coaches in the SEC. But keep up the idiotic hate.

DeBord redeemed himself temporarily as a playcaller with the second half Florida performance through the A&M game.

I thought his playcalling in the Alabama game was really bad. We wouldn't have won even if it was stellar, but how many inside runs can you do with Hurd before you figure out it doesn't work? I know their pass rush is good, but why call only a couple of plays where we tested their CBs down the field in man coverage? Why call only a single play where you moved the pocket with Dobbs? Why did Kamara have 12 touches out of 60+ plays after a career game? Why only call a single play where Hurd was a lead blocker for Kamara on a run?

Aren't all of these fair questions?

:eek:k:...questioning everything is fair game as far as I'm concerned...as it should be when we, as a fan base, wants what we believe, is for the betterment of our Vols...:salute:

GO VOLS...GET WELL SOON!

Yeah Phil and Vicki Fulmer told that same story for 5 years. The bottom line was that there just wasn't an overwhelming demand for CPFs services.
