I look for Debord to "retire" at the end of this season and ZA to get promoted, bring in a new WR coach and likely shuffle a few guys around. Shoop likely stays, he hasn't preformed as well as everyone thought and isn't a sure thing HC candidate as anticipated.
Our offense will not change in any capacity unless Jones goes. It's his offense and it's hit or miss, hot or cold and frankly I'm sick of it. I miss pro-style, having a physical o-line with a fullback and an offense where on 3rd and 2 the defense knows we're going to run between the tackles but 9 times out of 10 they simply can't stop it.
I don't think the issue with the offense is the scheme as much as we want to hate it and complain about it. It has proven to be successful - 2nd half of UF, A&M, 2nd most rushing yards in a season or something like that last year. I think the issue is the guys coaching the players and the fact that Debord can be overly conservative. I really think everyone on the offensive side of the ball needs to go except for Gillespie.
Says DeBord has been ok here but he was terrible on Saturday by limiting Kamara and not trying anything down field to Jennings or Malone.
Says Elder did much better job with our tight ends and special teams.

Speaking of Shoop, I have nothing against the guy but why did so many people think he was going to be a game changer?
Maybe he should hold his tongue next time.

I was critical of Shoop early in the season. His defenses are historically ranked in the top 20 even with Vandy ans Penn St talent. We were nowhere near that in our first games. Many said it was due to the uniqueness of Appy St and VT. But, our D literally shut down UF for an entire half. I am thinking Shoop is limited by our key injuries.
