If the Shannon rumor is true and he is being hired this quick, then Wilcox leaving has been in the works for a while, IMO.

funny how people will believe the "insiders" on this board who they wouldn't know if they walked by them everyday. But when someone who actually played at UT and has connections inside the athletic department provides info, they totally dismiss it.

Don't see how he has such a clean rep. He was the bag guy in the 80's and then there for the stuff in the 2000's. Not saying I don't want him but I doubt he is spotless.

This would be a great move (if true). He has produced quality defenses and is familiar with stepping into messes and making something postive out of it. Anyone that can do anything good despite the idiot president at Miami has got to be a quality coach/person.

I would love this hire....he creates some serious chaos with all his blitz packages. Would be a step up from wilcox IMO
