Does anyone have any info on Swain's availability for SC? It would be a bummer if he is unable to play, or is at less than full strength.

Oh man. I saw the thread title and thought you were looking for a date. :)

I say suit him up, but use this week to get Taylor and Briscoe more reps. I would rather have Swain at 100% for LSU than at about 70% for SC and LSU.

Agree 100% ...our passing looked a little suspect without him in the game - they got it done though.

Briscoe stuggled in that game and he needs some snaps. I hope Swain is ready for LSU. I he has to sit for SC that is fine with me. I think we can win this one without him. LSU's def is no less than number 8 in the majors catagorys nationally. We will need him in that game bad.

I think this will be one of those, "He'll be ready to go if there's an emergency, but otherwise will rest," situations.

Yeah, Briscoe dropped one but it wasn't the best pass in the world. Then he fumbled that one and got it back quickly. However, he did have a couple of nice moves on a couple of plays. He could be a good one as he matures.

I have no doubt he could be good, I hope that he is. It just looks like he is a little nervous out there and needs some gametime to get better. He has some real talent and would love to see him break a big one soon (or Lucas Taylor).

I know what you're saying and I agree, as for Taylor, I'm still not sold on him, but it doesn't really matter what I buy or not.

We have some talent behind swain and smith. We are just waiting for it to develop. We may see more of them this weekend with swain taking a full game breather.

I think UT needs to get Hancock some more PT. I'd like to see what he can do against SEC opponents.

I agree. Hopefully, we will suit Swain up in case the game warrants his playing. The game will then not be close enough to need him. Therefore, Briscoe/Taylor/and Hancock can get some quality PT. We have already wasted the potential redshirt year on Hancock for some stupid reason so lets play him more against USC with an injured Swain. Briscoe looks shaky and definately needs more snaps to get settled down. Taylor also looks like he is a little behind in terms of route running and creating separation.

The young white guy on Talkin Football which airs on CSS picked USC to win. He said we were a different team without Swain. He must of missed the second halves of the Ga. and Bama games which he didn't play in either.

i hear he has world class speed and that would be huge against sec db's. i would just like to see cpf give him a shot and see what happens:good!:
