Nah, they all did what was best for them. Of the lot, I would say Malone might have been better served to return. Roll the dice with Dormady and try to put up big numbers sounds reasonable, but with a new OC and inexperienced QB along with a veteran OL and Kelly returning, I would have to think UT is going to be run heavy until they develop a confidence in Dormady or Guarantano. Might not get the touches as a result of Butch's history with sphincter spasm. It's done. Wish 'em all well. Ready for new blood.
I just don't understand why Malone isn't a first or second rounder. He had 972 yards and 12 touchdowns in a run heavy offense in the toughest conference in college football. He also had the 3rd fastest 40 among receivers. I don't know what these NFL guys are looking at or or looking for but I think they need to have there heads examined. I guarantee there are a few receivers picked above him that won't be as good as these so-called experts think.
I predict that Dormady will be quick to earn the confidence of the coaches and fans based on his arm strength and accuracy demonstrated in the shortened O&W game. Our OL should be the best in CBJ era and with the time that he will have to pick his target, he should be able to move the offense with big chunks of gains that will open up our ground game in the process.
Speaking of the ground game, what is the status of Ty Chandler? I don't see his name on the roster and did not hear it called last Saturday.
Dennis Rogan made a mistake. Malone, Kamara, and Sutton did not.
