Suspend those refs

I would have called the offensive pass interference watching it in real time. It probably should have been a no call, but I understand that call from the refs. Outside of being a UT fan, I think most people would accept that call.
But, you had the camera angle to see the play. The view of the official who did throw the flag was totally blocked by the defender. All he could see was the defender fall down. He may have thought that Brazzel pushed him down but he could only see the guy fall, no way did he see anything resembling a push by Brazzel. The officials closest to the play did not throw their flags and should have overruled the other official.

Remove the two turnovers for UT touchdowns and we lose. I think those two TDs and the bad PI calls cancelled out. So it was a close game we won on the road
Go Big Orange!
no, because one PI was against us and it as a TD. the other extended their drive for a TD. nothing about the turnovers we caused in their territory btw said they would end up scoring.

even the tv guys said it was a phantom call. nobody reasonable would've said that was a good call.....UT fan or not. the db simply slipped and fell while turning

a7ffup.gif*OPI was called and negated a 64 yd TD

David Smith was a 1988 alabama team captain, the starting QB, and also the 1988 Sun Bowl MVP. He gets assigned to 2 or 3 TENNESSEE games per year.

Steve Marlowe is from Birmingham and went to Hewitt-Trussville High School, which is 20 minutes east of Birmingham. He's a manager at Alabama Power Company in Birmingham. He also hates the VOLS and gets assigned to 2 or 3 of our games per year. He officiated our Georgia game this season. Georgia had zero penalties in the 2nd half.

There are several other officials with ties to the university of alabama but these are the 2 "white hats" that should never be assigned to officiate a TN, auburn, or really any other SEC ball game. It's a conflict of interest and extremely unfair. Why the league office ever got moved to Birmingham is beyond unbelievable.

*There's way too much money in our league to be using part time referees. The SEC can afford to pay professional officials and can also hold them accountable for bad, game changing calls but they won't. It's exactly how they want it..... CORRUPT and slanted to help the university of alabama.

**I also feel like when Birmingham "assigns" either these jokers or some other crooked Gump lover to our games, they're still trying to pay us back for Phillip Fulmer turning them in for recruiting violations in the late 90s/early 2000s.

***The tide fans/university of alabama have no morals and that's why the SEC office has to be moved out of the south and totally cleaned out.

NCAA has to make PI a reviewable play. I'm sure officials are against that because it exposes them but it is badly needed. Officials are costing teams games and that should never happen.

There is hand fighting and the video doesn't show his left hands motion. I can't speak for the official. I can only say that in real time, I can see why the call was made. At no time did I say it was the right call. I just expect there to be human error and I still can see how the call was made. Go back and watch it full speed as if it's a fresh play. Most of you probably didn't think it was a bad call until you saw a replay.
