Suspend those refs

Luckily for the sec, we won the ball game so they don’t owe us a mysterious apology statement.

However, that crew, led by that head official has been blowing calls in sec play for YEARS and nothing has changed.

Lets count em up: a terrible opi call - cost us 7 points

A terrible missed dpi call - cost us 7 points

Their defensive line did at least 2 illegal shifts - neither of which was called an one resulted in a false start against us on a critical game tying drive.

A missed illegal motion that allowed mississippi state to get it on the goaline in overtime.

What other missed calls did you see in this game?
(1) In Q1, MSU had a punt that rolled down to our 6-inch line, and was downed there by an MSU player. Problem is he had one foot already go into the end zone and when he downed the ball the same foot was on the end zone line. Touchback. [EDIT: APPARENTLY ONLY APPLIES TO NFL]

(2) Coach Heupel had a really cute female assistant whose sole job appeared to be to stand next to him and hold his cup of water. 10 yard penalty for rediculousness. [EDIT: WE'VE GOT A DATE LINED UP FOR THURSDAY... THE GIRL, NOT HEUPEL]

Agree with 2! She is fine
Also the player in college rules can be in the end zone as long as the ball doesn’t cross. Nations Felons League is different

The worst was Star having a wide open TD run only to have the play stopped after the snap so the refs could review if we gained 26 yds or 30 yds the play before

Miscalled PIs this season have been the difference in several games. A miscalled OPI cost Arkansas the game against Memphis and it almost cost us the game last night. The ONLY way to deal with it would be to treat it like "targeting" where the call is followed by a booth review. That OPI against Brazzell almost cost us the game - and me a tv.

Each school gets $50+ million distributed to them every year from the SEC.

There is zero reason for football why the refs can't become salaried employees for the league. Even basketball as well.

8 games every conference week is like 64-72 officials in the football season. $16m pot of money ($1m from every school's cut from the league) is $222k per year per official.

We should have realtors in Hoover being refs.

A couple of PI calls went against us that were ticky tack and shouldn’t have been called. But the biggest issues today were drops and Heupel’s inability to manage the game and the clock.
None of us know what is going on, on the sideline. Clock mgt usual and always has been with Heupel, drops are fixable. Time mgt is questionable but there must be a reason that it is bad.

Allowing MSU to down a punt on the 1 yard line while the defender has his feet in the endzone.

I would have called the offensive pass interference watching it in real time. It probably should have been a no call, but I understand that call from the refs. Outside of being a UT fan, I think most people would accept that call.

I do not think a player should be penalized because the player he was competing against falls down with out assistance. Their defender just lost his balance and fell down.

The appearance in real time made it appear as a push. I'm just saying I can understand why they made that call.

Exactly. I have said the same thing.
