I enjoy watching Les starve :birgits_giggle:

Les is the real deal, as opposed to Bear who is getting blueberry pancakes at the local B&B

I would rather know how to get the heck out than sit on my ass and complain about cameras. And I'm sure Bear has all the qualifications to be considered "the real deal".

I am a big fan of Les and Bear! Definitely gotta give Les props for being totally alone and dealing with the cameras over a 7 day period, but Bear is just a hardcore bada$$. The stuff he eats, omg! If there was some catastrophic event i.e. meteor, aliens, etc...lol...I would try and get myself as close to Bear as possible.
I watch the episodes over and over....I actually have convinced myself my chances of surviving being stranded somewhere have improved! Thanks guys!

I like them both and I appreciate them both for what they are.
I like MvW because He moves around a lot and you get to see wildlife and more of the natural world in all it's glory....
I enjoy Survivor man for the feeling of peace and being alone that seems like it would be so relaxing...I also like the little tricks and MacGuyver type stuff Les does.

I find it funny when Les fails miserably at what he does and just turns to the camera and says "Well that was bad."

I like when he finally gets something to eat...even if it's a sh** burger....and he goes..."Oooohhhhhhhhhh, ahhhh.........then looks at camera....man that's good"

You might want to read this, before u praise Bear too much:

TV 'survival king' stayed in hotels - Times Online

Les Stroud stays out 7 days, thats part of his show. He waits 3-4 days usually before he starts moving, he usually gets back to civilization in 3-4 days.

Bottom line, Les does what he says he does.
