Surprised at the angst towards Pruitt

You made light of this most recent win streak by comparing it to Butch Jones. Don’t feign indignant status. Your reference was designed for effect...fact. 😏

Honestly, no. But I do appreciate you explaining that to me.

Why bring it up so...non-randomly? Or at all? Why not a Dickey-Majors-Fulmer win streak? Hold your appreciation...I suspect that’s another badly told lie. 😏

JG is Pruitt’s QB at this point of his tenure, so yes, he is accountable for his QBs awfulness.

I think at half time it would have been hard to find anyone who wanted JG out of the game. Ga. Dialed up blitzes we just couldn't handle in 2nd half.Running the ball would have benefitted us more than a qb change.. Do you think a change would have helped?

I see a few have filtered into this thread. Notably the idiot with the bird flip. Haven’t been on here since the game ended and was surprised at the angst. We have them too, though. Fire Kirby posts pop up a lot when we drop one game.

He is not the only one,but yes he is an idiot.

Yes. Two years ago.

Pretty simple. GA adjusted at halftime. TN did nothing. That’s coaching. CJP is still learning but that second half was indefensible

People wanting Pruitt fired are to put it mildly wildly over reacting. We have improved in nearly every phase of the game except qb, which is frustrating but if Shrout or Maurer were clearly better I think they would be playing by now. But I do think at this point you have to give them some chances and JG deserves to be on a short leash. But please, just quit with the fire Pruitt. Yesterday we simply played a better team, probably the best most solid team in the country. I am sure it was a learning experience for the team and coaches, but I think this team will rebound just like they did last year. We are one legit Qb from being able to play with anybody. Our O-Line while talented really hasn't been together a long time, I expect them to continue to improve. Our defense did not play bad they just got wore down by having to go right back onto the field in the second half. We have to play smarter, Deandre Johnson bailed them out by not being smart. The great players play hard but smart, can't make senseless penalties. Those bad penalties that allowed drives to continue killed us as well. But I am not worried the defense is only going to get better as we go. We are 3 games into the season, let it play out and then see how we feel. GBO!

Y’all are clearly heading in the right direction. Had an 8 game win streak which has to be the longest in over a decade, right? Maybe longer? Your QB situation isn’t great you just went up against the best D in the country.

We pounded Auburn’s ass from start to finish and they were supposed to be Top 10. Y’all clearly played better.

Think y’all beat Florida at the end of the season for that signature win.

Edit - apparently y’all had a longer streak under Butch but I’d venture to say the overall talent level now is superior to the one back then. Your Oline was a turnstile under Butch.
Let me ask you a serious question. What qb of ours strikes more fear as a dawg fan? JG or Maurer? There’s a reason I’m asking so there will be a follow up

OP started off saying that he thought we were heading in the right direction. He then cited the 8 game winning streak as evidence and asked how long it had been since we had such a long streak. I did mention he who must not be named, but my intention was to point out that a long winning streak isn't necessarily a sign that a program is headed in the right direction.

Bro any time UGA beats UT it's an upset. You're a program barely above South Carolina level. Now **** off kindly.

Butch’s assistants had their hands tied down due to his incompetent offense.

Pruitt’s assistants have their hands tied down due to an incompetent QB who keeps making freshman mistakes 3 years into the system.

Both refused to make a change and that scares me about Pruitt.
Very concerning. I think Pruitt is scared of losing to teams that we shouldn’t. South Carolina, Arkansas, vandy, Missouri, etc. Won’t risk losing them by putting in inexperienced QB’s. A loss to any of those teams cranks up the heat a little bit. Need to break in a qb that can get quick passes off and doesn’t limit Chaneys playcalling. We don’t throw slants with JG, and it’s because if he sails it there’s a good chance it’ll land into the hands of a safety. We can’t have that kind of handicap on our offense. Look what happened at Georgia, if we had a QB that could hit some quick short passes over the middle it would’ve forced those linebackers into coverage. It’s just painfully obvious there’s been a mismanagement at the qb position by the staff at this point.

Listen here, bub, if I wanna to fight I'll go to one of them peaceful protests in downtown Portland.
What if there aren’t innocent senior citizens that you can bludgeon?

Maybe I’m naive but don’t think the poster meant any harm w / the photo flipping the bird. Think he is/was frustrated with the comment that UT is basically in the rt direction as we’ve heard that for 19 yrs.

We haven’t been nationally relevant since 2001, 2005 preseason top 3 but ended 5-6.
SEC East champions- 2007- with three losses.
SEC champs- 1998

Wrong. 2016 team hands down. Lot of NFL players on that team.
