Surprise for the SC game???

rockytop9808, I'm usually on your side, but what was the big surprise that you couldn't reveal for fear of someone losing his job?

Sit close son, I am going to tell you a story about mystical creatures called trolls...

I believe I said from the start that the gloves were the only thing different, and most if the players didn't even wear them, most stuck with the orange-palmed gloves.

Just because people start message board rumors doesn't make it true. If you're looking for uniform gimmicks, you've got the wrong coaching staff and the wrong AD.

So let me guess, for the MTSU game we're going to have orange helmets, grey jerseys, and black pants?

Was the BIG surprise that sneaky onside kick attempt to start the 2nd half? Just another thing to add to the growing list of things that Dooley has tried & they haven't worked. Sneaky Sneaky sir!!!

Dooley has been successful with some onside kicks and fake punts. They're called calculated risks. If they were guaranteed to work, every coach would use them every time.

You do realize by saying it is a calculated risk, means that CDD thought about it & gave instruction to attempt onside kick. To be CALCULATED he would have had to think about the possible negative outcome of that risk. The score was 7-3 at the time, the negative outcome was giving the #13 team in the country the ball on the Tn side of the 50. IMO it was not a "fully calculated" risk.

We didn't recover, but the defense stepped up and got a turn over on the possession. The onside didn't hurt us at all.

No balls!

You could die in a fiery crash every time you drive to the store. Do you still do it, even knowing that possibility is there? Yes, of course, because you've practiced driving and feel confident in your ability.

There's a time to be ballsy & there is a time to be brainy. Down by 4 early in the game was not the time to be ballsy. It is my opinion, nothing more nothing less, just a fan on a message board. It is CDD's team & he can do whatever he wants.

They didn't score because of it.
