Everyone keeps saying dont give up on Butch jones..you will see..he will turn it around and butch haters will eat crow...well...i havent ate crow in what will be 5 years this year...so maybe one might say to themselves..do we want to win or do we want butch jones? You cant get both together..reality check!!!

Support is not in the vocabulary of the most vocal Vols fans. Asking for support from those who think the only way to show their love for the Vols is to p*** and moan like little b**ches at every opportunity is useless.

Like Hubbs said, paraphrasing here, it's not just about firing your head coach (butch), it's about who you hire. Like in recruiting, it's not about the players you didn't sign that went to other schools, what matters is the ones you got.

There was an article out there a while back talking about Josh Pastner at Memphis. In relation to how well he recruited, he yielded the worst results on the court in terms of results and wins at Memphis. He somehow managed to squander an immense level of talent. Butch Jones, while I have supported him in the past fully, is not the man for the job. Something is seriously wrong when the level of recruiting we've achieved is this high, and we can't even look like a decently disciplined football team in year 5. We're still losing VERY WINNABLE games in year 5. Butch Jones is probably getting the worst return in terms of talents in relation to results on the field of any Power 5 coach.

Butch Jones is our Josh Pastner.

Support Butch Jones? Your right lets give him another 5 years to finish in the middle of the pack in a division tennessee should win out right every year to play none than other Alabama!!! Better yet lets have him stay so we can continue to be 7-5 or 8- 4 at best and forget about a national championship or even the sec east crown..enough is enough...he has proven he is unworthy to be in this position...he is a speacial teams coach at best not hc at the university of tennessee!!!! Straight facts. Reality check for ya!!!

You say piss and moan..every normal vols fan and anyone who has any knowledge about football at all will tell you its not pissing and moaning..its stating the obvious facts...which sounds like your in denial or just dont have a clue about football or care that we are an 8-4 team tops any year under this so called coach..Or maybe you just like losing more than winning..what ever it is sounds like you need a reality check on vols football

It's one thing to have an opinion and state it on here, but whoever painted the rock is an idiot. All they are doing is hurting the program. The AD knows the situation we are in and I am sure he will get a new coach when he feels we need one or when he feels like he will be able to get a good one. If people keep up stupid stuff like that there wont be any coaches worth anything that will want to come coach at a place where the fans treat a coach that has worked his butt off for us like that. I don't think that he is the one to get us over the hump but there are ways to go about stating your feelings without driving away possible coaches and recruits.

Why do people keep saying "like it or not Butch isn't going anywhere this year" like it can't get bad enough to pull the plug. If that's true, we deserve mediocrity.
He looked like a long tail cat in a roomful of rocking chairs yesterday. His internal 'warning, warning...call agent' alarm is booming.

How do you determine, other than conjecture, whether it hurts the program, overall?? There are a ton of POV's that say the opposite. Trying to shame/guilt people into a behavior change isn't going to work. You don't think any of those people don't see us as a laughing stock among storied programs with the sideline command CBJ lacks? There are tons of headlines to remind them. What effect does that have?

Where I'm at, Phoenix, I'm usually the only VOL fan at the sports bar and listening to the general banter is disheartening. And I'm not talking about rival fans, just people laughing at the comedic value of Butch. What's tough is that, after 4+ yrs I have to agree with them.

On the Paul finebaum show someone said "I don't think that fans would really hope that their team looses" I thought, he should have a look at Volnation.

Funny that didn't work that way for Alabama, Penn State, Washington, or any other number of programs.

Get a coach that can actually develop players, properly evaluate players' skills, and set game plans to players' strengths and amazing things happen.

As a fan that works and goes to school, I don't have a ton of time to research. Who would be the replacement? Plus, wouldn't that set the program back? Not only in recruits, but money? Just a few questions I know I could get answered quick on here. VFL GBO
