We have enough talent to win at least 10 games this season, but we won't because Butch can't coach football at this level for 4 quarters. Anybody can recruit at Tennessee, we're living proof of that. It's time to pony up the money and bring in a winner and start getting the results we as fans and these players who put their bodies on the line every damn day for Tennessee deserve. Demand better, and let's get Tennessee football back.

Support Butch he didn't lose the game, poor execution lost us that game. Should we have given Kelly the ball on the 1, yes, but we also should have not had penalties in the red zone. We shouldn't have shanked a punt to give them field possession. We shouldn't have let a WR run past us.

I support Butch Jones being fired. Today. Tomorrow. The day he was hired. He's pathetic on Saturday and will only get worse. Every coach, opponent, talking head can see that Butch is garbage when it matters.

You keep trying to salvage the joke that is Butch Jones. He is in Dooley territory now. By that I mean that it's plain to see that he's in over his head. When he loses to Alabama, LSU, Georgia and one more team, you'll still be on here talking about how awesome Butch is.

Butch is done. He just hasn't gotten fired yet.

I can name about 20 options that would be better than Butch, but my list would be;

Tier 1: Gruden, Kelly, Stoops (Have to at least make them say no)

Tier 2: Petersen, Gundy, Franklin, Mullen

Tier 3: Petrino, Miles, Cutcliffe, Fuente, Patterson, JBC, Tee Martin

Tier 4: Norvell, Satterfield, Fleck, Brohm, etc.

I would take any of those options even all the way down to tier 4 over another year of Butch Jones football, and I believe at a minimum, any those would be capable of winning the East with the right talent in place at Tennessee.

I have a lot more faith in Butch Jones than I do UT to hire another coach.

In fact if I can live my life and UT never hire another coach, AD, chancellor or janitor, I'll die a happy man.

Been backing Butch but I'm done. Saturday was the last straw. I'd be a fool to continue my support of him and his methods.

And yes, being 2-3 vs vanderbilt in football when you're tennessee is pathetic and well worth being fired for.

Butch isn't going anywhere this year. How quickly the rabid fan base forgets what happened in our last 2 coaching searches. Top tier established coaches weren't beating down our doors to take the job. So people need to stop with the Kelly, Stoops, Gruden talk.

You support Butch Jones. I support UT football, and right now Butch Jones is damaging the brand with incompetent coaching decisions. Eventually, that illness will infect the staff, and then the team. We saw it last year. It's a matter of opinion as to whether or not the warning signs were there from the beginning.

His record is what it is. Do your research. He has not, and likely will not lead this program back to Atlanta, much less past it. The mind-numbing part of all this is that Butch seems to be oblivious to the fact that he needs to make changes...not with his staff...but with his ego and his mindset, in order to get the most out of all that talent he has recruited.

The sad thing for me is that I really liked the hire. He looked like a tough football coach. He sounded like a tough football coach. He seemed genuinely excited to get the job. He talked about rebuilding, and restoring the program. He embraced the Maxims. He said all the right things. I remember thinking, hoping, that here was the hard-nosed, no nonsense, beat their ass at the line of scrimmage type coach that UT really needed. Rocky Top tough. It hurts to see him struggle to even say the right thing in a press conference now, much less make the right call in a game.

In the end...10 years from now...I think we will look back at the Butch Jones era and wonder what might have been if he had simply checked his ego and made the adjustments needed to win in the SEC.

For me, the honeymoon is over. Butch ain't it. Can he prove me wrong? Yes. Will he? His record to this point says "no". So for me, what must be done eventually should be done immediately. He gets the rest of the season to prove the doubters wrong. I'll concede the Bama game. I'll throw in LSU or UGA just to make it fair. Heck, I'll give him both. But at loss #5, which right now looks like a very real possibility, I think it's time to thank him for restocking the cupboard, and move on.

I'm not Donald Trump, and I approve this message.

Because we were in an awful place from a program standpoint. Completely different scenario now. We have enough talent and at lest enough depth to make a quick 2 year turnaround with a winner at the helm or any competent coach for that matter. It is not that difficult to win the East right now. Our talent is being squandered under Butch Jones, and recruiting will get worse as it goes. It's time to make a change.

Why wouldn't a proven coach want to take over a program like tenessee with all of the talent on this roster + multiple top 10 recruiting classes coming in?? You at least make them say no..

Some of you dudes just don't get it

The longer you wait, the more hurtful it will be to the program long term...


A hire like chip kelly will turn this team into a 10-11+ win playoff contending team next season.


Or should we just stick with botch until the team starts going 7-5 every year, recruits figure out he's a moron that cant coach or develop talent and more players start transferring/decommiting?

Ever since 2015 UF game, anybody who defends that idiot can jump in the Uhaul with him as it rolls back to Michigan.
You have to be certifed insane, or a complete moron
to go for one, when up by 12 with 10 minutes left in a game. I've been waiting 2 years for a explanation of that one, besides "The chart told me to."
Dude doesnt know how to add 12 + 2, but he's out there in practice quizzing WR's on math questions?
He's good for two losses a year guaranteed from his stupidity alone.
