Man, i have to think the big boosters just don't care anymore or they would have fixed this deal years ago. Dooley, then Butch really? Think about that for a minute.

Its the first thing they shout even though there is no basis for the statement. Michigan, Miami, Purdue all recently showed improvement in year one after hiring better coaches. If there is talent on the roster you don't go backwards with a good coach. A quarter of the team isn't walking out the door on a new hire.

This is the dumbest post I have ever seen in the Butch Jones era...... His job was to rebuild the roster and stabilize the program... He did that. Once big expectations were upon him, he fell short epically. Not once, not twice, but multiple times. The only difference between him and Dooley is that he could recruit ten times over Dooley.

Butch to this day is still one of the worst in game coaches.

No one knows that for fact. Bet firing him and hiring a better coach will not set us back. He is setting us back all by himself. He is a crap 3rd rate bargin coach. By the way Dooley won a game against him...DOOLEY!

Tennessee fans are about as loyal as they come but if we get rid of Jones and bring in a Scott Satterfield type I think it will be one heck of a tough sell. I think Tennessee fans are sick and tired of putting so much in and getting next to nothing in return. Good to hear from a Cheatham county fella btw.

No, keeping Butch Jones will set us back 5 years. He's reached his peak at Tennessee. What more do you need to see to understand that Butch is in over his head? I'm sick and tired of losing to mediocre teams that we should be beating by double digits, but fail to do so because of poor execution, playcalling, and game management.

He's done his job. He's rebuilt Tennessee, he's recruited well enough to make us competitive and relevant, but we're going to lose all of that progress the longer he stays here because we're not getting the results we deserve on the field. Butch is handicapping this team, and it's obvious. Why do you think we suddenly started steamrolling Florida at the end of the game? Because we threw the game plan out of the window, and started playing football.

We have enough talent to win at least 10 games this season, but we won't because Butch can't coach football at this level for 4 quarters. Anybody can recruit at Tennessee, we're living proof of that. It's time to pony up the money and bring in a winner and start getting the results we as fans and these players who put their bodies on the line every damn day for Tennessee deserve. Demand better, and let's get Tennessee football back.

I'm an old fart. Sycamore wasn't built when I graduated I went to Cheatham.

My kids go to Sycamore middle.

I'm one of the many Binkley's running around here. My parents both graduated from Cheatham back in the mid 80's.

NO, it won't!!!

UGA fired Jim Donnan after 4 years of mediocrity to hire Mark Richt...and we know how that turned out..

Fla fired Ron Zook to hire Urban Meyer....and that turned out very well....

Alabama fired Bill Curry after 3 years and a 10-2 record....hiring Stallings and won the NC in his 3rd year...

There is more than enough examples out there in the NCAA to fire an inept coach...for the sake of the program!

Simply stated...You're WRONG!
