That’s not even cheating. It’s just stupidity all the way around. The catcher should know the count. It’s not hard to keep track of. The batter was just as pitiful

Poor Phillips. Struck out looking with a runner on 3rd and 1 out. Didn't slide at 2nd and nearly got thrown out. Forgot how many outs there were and tossed the ball on the ground. Threw to 1st base on a dropped strike 3 when 1st base was occupied. Forgets the count and throws to 1st base on strike 2. Gets hit in the head by the bat. Tough day at the office
