I now wear the Bolle Metals Limit with prescription polarized lenses. They are about as curved as a prescription lens can be, they are light, comfortable and block out the wind (which is why I wear them).

I rock Oakley Why 8.1 polarized and I love them. They are rimless so your field of vision isn't restricted on the sides.

Whatever kind you get, I can't recommend polarized lenses enough. They are worth the money. Especially if you fish, or happen to work a lot around sand or snow.

Aviators for me and it has been that way since high school. Top Gun style too, not the cheapies. Ray Ban.


The Gulf of Mexico has the only Oakleys I ever owned.

I concur about polarized lenses.

I have a pair of rayban polarized.

Okaleys are the deal. I have two pair of zeros. I love them. I have had several over the years and they have always done me right.

Some of these newer Oakleys make people look like spider man or some creature from a sci fi movie imo.

The only problem I have with polarized is they make it hard to read LCD readouts in your car (CD player, clock, etc.)

They also make the rear window look quilted.

the LCD readouts are the closest I've ever come to tripping on drugs. They definitely look weird.

yeah, looking at tinted windows makes it look like a rainbow. Looking at your iPod screen is crappy, but besides that....great!

I have a pair of Ray-Ban aviators c.1982 from my dad.

Other than that, I get hooked up with a rotation of Electric, Spy and Von Zipper shades from a friend at Zumiez.

Oakleys really stay on well and dont seem to have the lines through them that tend to give you a headache , like the cheaper ones do.:shades:

I prefer Ray-Bans but have a pair of Pacific traders from Sam's that works well....................but usually I find myself wearing the $8 dollar faux tortoise shell pairs that I buy at Eagles each year so I don't lose the more expensive ones while playing in the surf.

If I could afford them, I'd have the latest Maui Jim's. I couldn't even feel them on my face when I tried them on at the Sunglass Hut. Sadly, I can't bring myself to drop $300 on some shades. :hmm:

If you are looking for something sporty, polarized, and not terribly expensive, Smith makes some cool shades. I got my last pair at Alpine Ski Center in Knoxville.
