Kiffin announced Trooper Taylor as the OC and the entire room chest bumped for hours to see who was tough enough to play for the Vols. Austin Rodgers did not last 5 minutes.

this particular player said CLK looked really tall in person and said "he looked like a movie star"

said his first words in the meeting room were, "is this where you guys normally sit for meetings?" one of the players responded yessir, these are our assigned seats. CLK told them to all get up and come back in the room and sit somewhere else, next to different people. he said, "from this point forward, we are doing things different"

said, he had a great deal of respect for the last coaching staff, but that things were going to be different..."


"said that off the field problems will not be tolerated at all. said if you see one of your buddies about to do something stupid, you better stop him or you are held just as accountable...etc. etc.

player to me that he seemed very aggressive, determined, focused etc...


CLK also told the players " I guarantee you that we will have a coaching staff that any GM in the NFL would be proud of"

"oh yeah....said he intends to sit down and talk to each and every player on the team, that he wishes he was able to do it in the next few days, but that he will be hitting the recruiting trail hard starting tuesday.

this player who plays on the defense briefly mentioned that CLK said something about monte coming with him, but didn't really expand on that"


Don't know which player..But this was on another board.

the above info came from volchat, a poster named bondvol. Other tidbits from a couple other posters, including TennSuds, I mean tennstud. Meeting was about an hour-long

they forgot to mention that CLK had a private meeting 5 minutes earlier with Rod Wilks to go over what he was going to say. Wilks gave the green light.
