I swear to God and all that is Holy that if Florida hires Chip Kelly first and I have to watch those Gay-tards put up 60 points on us every year and win SEC and National championships I will quit watching UT football for the rest of my life and officially renounce my fanhood and alumni status and never make another single dollar donation from now until the day I die.

I don't see Florida hiring a guy that has had major issues with the ncaa especially in today's climate.

Butch Jones Show: Kesling says "see you next week," Butch says "looking forward to it."

There you go. Same as last week. He'll be here all week.

This news won't make your local newspaper.

The day is really irrelevent at this point. It is now obvious that there is no recovery from this. So once the money and details are worked out he will be fired.

Currie doesn't have the guts to do what it takes. As another poster pointed out a few minutes ago in another thread, Currie was more than capable of working behind the scenes in getting Fulmer fired mid season, but when it's his call he doesn't do it. And firing Jones should be much easier than firing the man that won a national championship and bleeeds orange. And firing Jones is obviously more justified than Fulmer's termination was.

Makes no sense. You really think Mullen would leave his team DURING the season? If he did that, I'd not want him as my head coach. As for Kelly, if I were his agent, I advise him to sit back and wait until the season ends as there will likely be several jobs to choose from plus you can likely get a bidding war or at least get better/higher offers. This head start bit is fantasy.

Really not convince Kelly could deliver on anything much less winning the East. Fl. will can their coach probably on Monday and start a search and they will throw big money to get a winning coach. I really don't think it will be Kelly. Maybe a Frost, Franklin or even a Les Miles. Time will tell. Whoever Florida gets they will soon be in the hunt for a National Championship. Tn will be sleeping at the wheel. Enough said....

If everyone wants Jones gone then don't go to the game next Saturday. Thats what they are waiting for. If the stadium is full this week and for the LSU game then don't be surprised if Jones is our coach next year. Its a business and if the consumer (fans) keep buying the product (showing up for gameday) they wont make a move. This is how it always goes down here and at most places. To the AD its not about winning its about the bottom line. The only time winning comes into play is when the wins or losses affect the bottom line.
I would also like to ad that we need to drop the gruden love and get serious as to who we really want and that we REALLY could hire. we all need to be thinking Kelly, Frost, Pruitt ect ect . Please ad your realistic coach to the list.

Neither one We have to become ineligible for a bowl game before he is fired...

Probably.
That was the standard for Dooley in 2012.
It's a shame that the people running the program think so little of it.

I don’t know what’s going to happen, but Saturday in Knoxville will be a show...either way. Either Butch is fired, and we all breathe a sigh of relief, Butch coaches the team to a win, or we lose again, and the dumpster fire gets hotter.
