I'm sure this was discussed in the game thread, but let's get it out in the open. What did you think of it?

Personally, I loved it... but if I could change something about it, I would've preferred it happened before the game instead of right in the middle of it. I know it was during a scheduled TV timeout, but I dunno... I didn't dig the timing of it.

Other than that, thought it was great. Definitely repaid the favor for Bruce and the men's team.

Thoughts?

The singing left a little to be desired, but hey she's a coach, not a singer.

No problem with it myself. Pumped up the crowd even more than it already was.

I am not a Lady Vols fan by any stretch and haven't ever really been that big of a fan of Pat, but all of that changed tonight. I thought what she did was great. Thanks Pat for supporting the Vols!!!

i must admit, when she first started singing and i saw her in that outfit...my first reaction was "make it stop!!!!!!!!".

having said that........the pub, etc...that everyone is getting for TN atheltics right now is not a bad thing....the very public display of support between the programs just goes to drive home the "family" atmosphere that we always here about TN from players, former players and potential players when they talk about TN..........

so from that standpoint...definitley not a bad thing........but whoa......it was a little difficult to see Pat Summit doing that........but good for her.

I think it's better now in the highlights that they have cut up into 5 second bites. It seems less tortured.

I didn't think they were gonna be able to get her up to make that V, however...

yeah, see that's what i mean....it was all just so hokie....i'm not against it i guess....and it was for fun etc...but it did seem a bit shaky there at the beginning and at the end with the hold V thing....

and for once, Dick Vitale was speechless which i did think was funny.......

but GAVol is right...it's not so bad seeing the highlights....

Just goes to show that the world is sexist. Pat butchers a song in the middle of a basketball court and it's charming. Carl Lewis butchers a song in the middle of a basketball court and . . . . wuh-O.

At least she got all the words right.

I was gonna bring up Rosanne, but I think that she would fall into the same category as Carl Lewis.
