I tried to explain to my daughter the new conference alignment, she looked at me and said, whatever, you either play good or you don't.

That's a classic reaction. My older son didn't take it as well, his face got all crunched up and he said now we're gonna lose even more.

College football will change forever with the NIL, 19 yr old kids making 1 million dollars. Maybe I’ll play hard today , maybe I won’t, just cashed a nice check.
Now superconferences , yeah I see the writing on the wall.
Welcome to NFL junior league.
Agree. While I'm happy that these guys are able to profit, I think its going to take away from the sport.

After spending half of it in 1 month, they will want more. To get more they will have to produce. To produce they will have to give up their free time.

For many the stuff they get with more money will motivate them to work harder.

The problem will be how many will go off the rails and only get paid once. Maybe with the right accountants that number can be kept at a minimum.

I know a couple of accounts that would probably have time to help manage their money. For a fee of corse. They got bills too.

I've said for years that the largest contributing factor to a failing business is internal issues, not because of competition. The same can be said for sports. We haven't sucked because Alabama is great. If we get our own house in order everything else will take care of itself.

Yeah. If a player gets a bunch of money and doesnt play well, what will happen then. I think reality is going to tough on some of these kids

People acting like kids are going to be getting this kind of money after throwing 3 picks in a game and getting benched for the season.

Your reading alot into it, performance is going to be a big indicator of how much money one makes. Most kids want to win and play hard. Many kids still care about academics, it's a shame some folks broad brush all athletes and greedy and not caring. Not saying there aren't a few bad apples, but most love college and I think this will only help players stay and be able to at least make some money while getting their education. Will there be some growing pains? I am sure there will be, but I think it's going to make folks stay in college more not less. College football will always be college football as long as we have marching bands and tailgates. I think the NIL only makes young athletes only want to do better, they stand to lose alot if they get kicked out of school. Especially if they can't make the NFL. GBO!!!!!!

You would think that local sponsors would sign contracts for these kids like pros do. So if they have a bad game or season, what's going to happen in terms of future sponsorship

Or if they get arrested and kicked off the team

Positive Spin: As a season ticket holder - with 9 conference games, and the possibility of Alabama and Auburn coming to the east, the home game schedule will have better games, and UT picks up Auburn (we always had Auburn in the past). I am liking the fact that Georgia, and Florida get Alabama every year too. Welcome to our world. And that goes for Bama having to play them as well.

Nothing is for certain on how the divisions will be done. Makes sense to me, to move AU and UA to east and MO to west add OK and Texas to West. Yes, that's logical, however if Nicky don't like it, it won't happen.

That’s awesome lol. Am I missing something though? Has this been finalized and released to the public?

That young man understands that adding two stronger programs in the SEC will not be good for the records of us bottom feeders. A lot of Vol Nation does not.

Yeah, he probably needs to man up a bit, but he just turned 10, so it's a work in progress
