I know. But that could've been coach speak. Just thought the off the cuff quote headed off the field was telling of his true feelings.

It's true, for the most part. Winning from that far back takes luck. Butch was a coward running out the clock. I hope he learns sooner rather than later.


I've been quiet and supportive of Butch this week(as much as I can), but he will never change.

Sumlin is lucky he has the refs in his pocket. How can Berry take a direct helmet shot to the facemask and not get a targeting call yet they toss Warrior and throwing a great freaking block. Vols outplaying everyone but the refs and their own coaches.

If he thinks it is luck, then it clearly shows he hasn't prepared his team to handle us once we begin to surge back.

we are not playing bad ball ... other than turnovers, and not catching the ball AGAIN... D not looking too bad other than the 21 points LOL ... GO VOLS in the second (should be closer going to the half)

Really? I was begging them to put a knee on it and run out the clock. Couldn't get to the locker room fast enough. That was an abomination in the first half.

Not coach talk - Sumlin feels that A&M is the superior team. Yes - it was disrespectful to UT, but it gives the A&M and national perspectives.

Even with turnovers, penalties, and missing key players, UT is doing well on Off and hold-up on Def. A Kamara and J Kelly look good, but the real plays will be the W/R and TE's.

I believe with all my heart we will fight back and make it a game. I've got friends at the game and they said the atmosphere is no where near as rowdy as Neyland. I believe we can keep them quite for the second half. Knight can't throw them back into the game once we get ahead either. I expect a similar score to the Florida game to be the final.

We have about 50 more yards of offense lmao but we are lucky ha ha. I hope that he really believes what he said.
