Damn that Transfer portal

Tennessee football has experienced more roster attrition than any Power 5 program. With 35 players transferring out since September 2020, the Vols lead all major conferences in defections — and it isn't close.

In reflection, it appears they were culling the herd. And it worked.

That's a lot of self-culling - if 7 wins was the goal it worked - but players like To'o To'o, Eric Gray, Ty Chandler, Key Lawrence, & Wanya Morris meant 25% of the Top 20 Transfers came from Rocky Top. I would love to have seen the results had they remained for our new coach. I suspect we could have won vs Pitt, Ol Miss, and maybe Florida & we wouldn't have so many hole to fill with this next class not to mention the depth. 35 Transfers Wow - i stand by my 4 words Damn the transfer portal .
