Sugar Bowl opponent?

Hawaii would actually be pretty cool, imo.

Much better than us getting VT or BC

Hawaii at least will intrigue people

Hawaii has a good offense, but their defense has little to be desired. I was at the Hawaii vs. LA Tech game and I wasn't all that impressed by what I saw from Hawaii. They do have some extremely fast receivers, which IMO is what makes Colt look so good, but that's about all they had. If Tech hadn't gone for a two-point conversion in the first OT, they may have won that game. I think if Tenn ends up playing Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl, it shouldn't be a problem to win that game.

If Tenn or LSU play Hawaii they will destroy them. Its like when the sec speed of Fla. destoyed Ohio St.

We never came close to stopping Kentucky when they split out 5 wide and ran that exclusively through the second half. Hawai'i runs that better and with the no huddle. I think beating LSU would be easier than beating Hawai'i for UT (neither real easy).

We have nothing whatsoever to gain by playing Hawaii. If we win big deal, we beat a WAC team, if we lose...oh boy...

Tennessee would humiliate Hawaii. It wouldn't be close unless they staged some junk yards and TDs late.

humiliate: to cause a painful loss of pride, self-respect, or dignity; mortify.

When's the last time the Vols humiliated anyone?
Please don't say this year's GA game. GA is again doing very well, thank you.

GA is correct! You don't think the GA boys felt a painful loss of pride after the game? :ermm:

Very, very temporary loss of pride.......certainly nothing to compare to what happened after the Vols met up with FL and AL, and to some extent, Cal.

And yet the Vols are still playing in the SEC Championship game. Seems like the Dogs should have more than a very, very temporary loss of pride. A bit of an embarrassment that the supposed #4 team in the country isn't even playing in their conference championship.

I could say I'd be torn if UT played Hawaii in the Sugar, but I'd be lying. Vols all the way!

I've already warned my friends that root for UH that I'll be the enemy for a day if it comes down to it.

God help me if Brennan, Bess, Rivers and Grice-Mullen have their way with the UT secondary. They may never play again and I'd never be able to live it down...
