Suddenly Kiffen doesn't look too bad.

Kiffin would be so much better than Greg Schiano. If this happens then UT has abandoned being serious about being championship contenders at any level.

Lane Kiffin ALWAYS looks bad when mentioned in the same breath as the University of Tennessee. :shakehead:

The year he was here we had Alabama if our kicker could have made a freaking field goal. That wasn't anywhere close to a great talented team we had that year yet we played everybody toe to toe and lack of player execution is what cost us the Bama game.

Absolutely. He's a worthless unethical you-know-what!

And the not-funny thing about this is, WE ALL KNOW THIS ALREADY.

(EDIT: sorry, my reply was meant for, and in agreement with, "Feathersax")

Exactly. Boys, there is no way that pig gets a second chance. I get the sentiment but if you want to not look like complete fools, Hell, beg for Fulmer to come back. And I am the guy who can't stand Fulmer. At least we would only be half the joke we would be with either of these two.

Got to be a rumor, even Currie ain't that stupid.

In all fairness, Schiano is accused of witnessing and not acting against a child molester. If Currie ain't stupid and is hiring this guy, he needs to go out of his way to prove he isn't a coward. He needs to get him past this.

But I have no idea how that can be done with the way everything is blowing up. This you just can't spin.

Might as well discontinue football, and get a soccer coach from South America. This is insane.

A very surprising hire if true. The fact that Tennessee would take a chance and hire someone who may or may not have known about the Sandusky child molestation is very puzzling. Schiano does not have a stellar won/loss record as a coach. At least with Kiffin, we know his coaching abilities. The ability to take lesser talent and challenge Alabama and other good teams is what Kiffin brought to Tennessee and we see it happening now at Florida Atlantic. We may have missed an ideal opportunity to get a quality coach in Kiffin again. Our program has been in a tailspin this season and it will take someone with good leadership and coaching to revive the program. I am always baffled with the hiring practices of Tennessee.
