I’m sorry but saying this debacle of a coaching search was intentional because they were buying time to reel in the big fish or they had already caught a big fish and were simply buying time in order to announce it is asanine.

The debacle has been all fans and media. The university has said nothing other than Schiano was a candidate and was vetted.

So... we need the kick backs from all the coaches who we are "leveraging" to pay off the Jones buy out. So that's why its taking so long to get a new coach... :thud:

Actually all I've said above is that if you look at what noise has been made, its mostly been fans and media. The coaches we've "offered", the admin, all have been strangely circumspect. Im not saying they've played us, if anything we've played ourselves and they stood there and let us.

For the record, If this theory proves to be true Im actually not happy about it because I think the AD could have done a better job helping avoiding the hysterics. Seriously, we are a laughingstock right now, I have friends all over the country reaching out giving me a hard time over how our fan base has behaved.

I guess the word subterfuge does imply some sort of active role, and really they have been too passive, either way, there is a game afoot and all of our nonsense and drama is only serving to harm the Big Orange brand.

So, lets hope for a great coach and a good weekend, and an AD that has learned a lesson about leaving its fans and supporters out in the wind.
