Hate that, he was the one committed recruit I was hoping we could salvage. Oh well, wish him well, time to move forward.

@TheRecruitScoop: JUCO PG Rasham Suarez has decided to remain committed to Southern Miss & play for Doc Sadler instead of going to Tennessee, a source said.

That one hurts bad

Man, you're desparately reaching when you try to pull recruits from your last stop. That is just bad juju all the way around. I hope the fans are ok with our latest Bruce.

A solid PG with good handles, that can penetrate, dish and hit free throws should be sufficient with Detrick, Kevin, Robert and Josh around him. Of course we still need another big (I believe we get Cofer) and another PG (hoping Thompson comes back).

That, is actually pretty much the opposite of what Chile does.

Chiles is a shoot first, shoot second, and shoot third, type PG (kind of like a homeless Allen Iverson). If you are even going to stretch the notion of the word pg to include Chiles.

Chiles has a 1/1 assist to T.O. ratio and never took less than 10 shots a game last year, this includes an incredible 9-23 effort against Marquette.

Anyway, he is pretty much a short 2 guard, but can nominally run the point.

As long as he doesn't mentally check out during games, and can guard his position I'm all in. :)

BTW is that you leaking info about DT to Purdue? smells fishy with a boilermaker in this forum. lol

Purdue was always in on DT. It will be interesting to see if they make a move on him. They currently have 2 PG's on the roster, but one is a midget (and a freshman) and the other struggled to play the point last year. Anyway, I honestly think DT's best move would be to stay put, but if he's going, I wouldn't mind seeing him at Purdue.

As long as you aren't doing any recruiting for them.... :)
