Ok, the whole "1st game at Neyland" thread got me thinkin. I know we've all done some dumb stuff after a painful loss by our beloved Vols. Share your story here and lets share in the laughter. I have 3 that stick out:

1. Remember the back to back to back losses after Majors returned from his heart deal? Well, after ole boy from Arkansas took that punt back and they later go down and kick the game winner (24-23) my emotions took over and I ripped my shirt off and threw my tv in the floor. About that time, (i was 14) a girl I had been 'dying to meet' just showed up at my house with one of my friends......so i answer the door, pissed, with a ripped shirt on. Embarassing moment #1.

2. 1997 Loss to Florida. Ripped my new Adidas hat in two at my GRANDMOTHER's house, then cussed my mom, and ran outside and kicked a big dent in the side of my (get this) '87 Nissan Sentra. Embarrassing moments #'s 2,3 and 4. lol

3. When Wilhoit kicked his beautiful 50 yarder to beat Florida, our 1st born was barely 8 or 9 months old. I was holding him at the time, while my Gator lovin' friend was watching the game with me. I got "caught up in the moment" needless to say and went to jumpin up and down screamin......which scared my son half to death........got him crying and screaming.........and my wife cussing me as she took him from me "its just a game!" Embarassing moment #5.

Lets hear yours. LOL

After we were down 35-0 in '96 against Florida, I walked home drunk and passed out. My girlfriend came home after the game and told me, "We came back." I thought she meant we had come back and won. When I found out the final score was 35-29, I called the police on her for trespassing.

During the 02' game against Florida in the rain, I took the VHS tape that I was recording out of the VCR, lit it with a lighter, and threw it out in traffic.

I usually don't tear anything up, but if I have scared my G/F out of the house because I was straight screaming at the T.V. But after the game, like with LSU, I usually just take a fast-paced jog for about 2 miles to get rid of stress.

Although I can remember breaking two remotes during the 'Bama game in '05. I was drunk during the time so I don't know if that counts. :p

I remember taking too much of NyQuil after the 2005 Vanderbilt loss trying to sleep off the pain. I can't remember when I woke up, but I know I missed church that morning.

I went to the LSU/TN game this year, and I was walking back to my car when a LSU fan for no reason got up in my face. I proceded to "snap" on him and tell him I hoped another hurricane came to Lousiania and killed everyone at LSU and leveled the college. Am I going to hell? b/c I am truely a nice guy...just very very pissed at that moment in time

well it wasnt a loss, but it was in 05 against LSU. i was on my honeymoon in jamaica, and somehow we got the game on tv down there. it was our first night there, and i was trying to watch it, but guys come on! so, after that 1st half debacle, I turned the tv off..... Anyhow, when i came too, TN had made the greatest comeback in a long time, and I missed it. I was so pissed off!!

I've broken my share of remotes...that's about the extent of my anger...I've learned over the last 5-6 years that if I get my hopes up somehow they will get smashed...

After that Memphis State disaster in 96, I threw a lamp through my wife's glass top coffee table. If that wasn't bad enough, I started yelling at her when she got mad about it.

:) Glad to hear I ain't alone. Needless to say, I still yell at the TV and "mope" around for a few hours after a painful loss, but I TRY not to cuss so much and throw stuff. The worst I've heard of is my father-in-law is a bama fan and he told me about a year when they lost their bowl game. Well, the christmas tree was still up and he threw the whole friggin thing, lights, ornaments and all out the front door! Then he took a piece of masking tape and wrote ASHAMED on it and taped it over the "Alabama" that was on the front of his hat and WORE IT like that. LOL.

I watched that whole game (05 LSU) ran to the Rock, climbed it and led the mob in Rocky Top than went to the stadium and burnt a mattress.

I have broke several remotes, threw a hat out of a window, after the LSU loss, a LSU fan came up to me and all I said was "Katrina" terrible I know. Against Georgia, when Clausen fumbled and UGA returned it 99 yards, I simply could not watch anymore. I almost became physically ill.

1. During Peyton's freshman year...we lost at Mississppi State. Nuff Said. I was so mad I ripped off my parents screen door.

2.This is a good one....I was on my way to the UT-Auburn game at Auburn and for some unknown reason I decided to stop, while in Alabama, and buy me a new pair of shoes to wear to the game...nothing special just a pair of new balance running shoes. Well, we were undefeated at the time and proceeded to lose to an unranked AU team 28-21. Then the next year...04' AU came to knoxville. The shoes had been taken out of my rotation by then but for some unknown reason I thought I should wear them again to the Auburn game.... which we lost.....oh, did I mention that we were undefeated going into that game as well?? Later that year we were going to the SECCG in Atlanta and me and a friend paid waaaaay too much for two tickets to the game on ebay. And who were we playing... Auburn!! Before we left, I called all of my friends and family over and had a bonfire with the shoes..... yep I burned them in my grill while we all sang Rocky Top in the background..

Go Vols!

Ainge's freshman year when he got hurt against Notre Dame and then Clausen threw a pick 6. I threw the remote and started screaming right as my girlfriend at the times mother showed up to go to dinner with us. Needless to say she was not impressed.

The same girl threatned to break up with me that year when I broke another remote during the Ole Miss game. Ole Miss returned an INT late and I threw the remote and turned it off. The vols came back and I missed it. She said she couldn't be with anyone who got that mad about a football game. Needless to say we did not last much longer and the current girlfriend yells louder than I do sometimes so it all worked out in the end.

I've never done anything near as bad as anyone in this topic, but I yell at the TV a lot and after a big loss I'll play a videogame or two of a game where I can kill things in a bloody and violent manner.

my roomate in texas was a big gator fan and we sat down and watched the game this year together and i didnt say not one thing the whole game to him about anything and he is talking smack the whole time. of course florida won and he wouldnt shut up so i went to sonic to get something to eat and on the way there i got some laxitives to put in his food and his drink, brought it back and well lets just say i got the last laugh.

another time lets see it was the auburn loss, first one were schaffer and ainge played in and i think i threw a 45 pound weight through my door. another one that got me was this years lsu game, i was at a bowling rink watching the game and got so pissed i threw the ball into the air and it came down pretty dang hard on the floor.

On vacation at the beach with half a dozen friends, none of which had affliation with UT or UF in '04. However, they knew how orange my blood ran and poked and prodded all night, including taking shots after every UF score just to get a reaction out of me.

Wilhoit misses the XP to tie and I go into a blind, drunk rage, and decide to show him how to kick the damn football....... against the bannister at the top of the stairs. Needless to say I had to pay back the deposit for the damage to the house, but I swear that piece of wood would have been good from 50.

2004 championship game, not sure after what play exactly, but I punched the arm of my couch and broke a piece of wood inside of it, as well as breaking a bone in my hand(didnt go to the hospital til after the game was over).

Then i went to the arkansas game this year. took crap all day and the game was the last straw. so i was going to go back to my hotel and just sulk it off, but some dumb razorback fan decided to do the woo pig sooie chant directly in front of my face. so naturally i took a swing at him, connected, and broke the same bone in my hand again.

Then at the outback bowl, we were walking back to our cars very pissed by the way. and there was about 5 penn state fans behind us talking trash like we werent there. so some large tennessee fan next to me, didnt know him but he musta been about 6'8" 260 or something, decides to turn around and confront them. He doesnt say a word just stands there and looks at them. They were all just high school runts. needless to see they took a different route than we did.
