Stupidest Rule in Football

*Players having to leave the field if their helmet comes off.
*Targeting reviews where they watch a few replays to judge intent rather than letting the conference office handle it.
*The peel back blocking rule.
*Excessive celebration

All very worthy candidates...
The more I think about it, I think celebration penalties are the worst. Nothing worse than a guy showing pure joy and an old guy throwing a flag like a bad hall monitor. As long as it’s not choreographed like a flash mob and isn’t aimed at anybody, what’s the big deal?

Once the punting team touches the ball the receiving team can’t fumble.

Can’t advance an onside kick or muffed punt.

These might have been changed already.

Why?

A team drives down the field, fumbles in the opponents end zone, and so we give the other team 2 points and the ball back?

I'm okay with just giving the other team the ball back.

Seems fair.

Yes, it should be the same as any other forward fumble out of bounds. Offense retains possession at the point of the fumble.

Call me old school, but it’s a lack of class when you celebrate and try to show up the opponent. Act like you been there before.

Interception in the end zone then kneel down is a touchback. The defense should have to get it out of the end zone to avoid a safety
