I still can’t find a clear answer on this: if a team makes playoffs and loses in first round does that team make a regular end of season bowl still? Or is the season done?

Also…. I saw a playoff model and the model has us playing UGA AGAIN in first round …. Thoughts

Done.

Because that’s the start of post season.

Yes that was a stupid question…

But I’m not calling you stupid 😌

Unlikely, if they win out, they will move up. If they lose, they will drop.

But this would be true if the season ended today, a rematch in Athens.

The interesting scenario would be an seccg loss for them might flip us in the standings and we could end up hosting them in Knoxville.

A 3 loss SEC runner up will be out

Dont be so sure. It would take a little luck, but with #14 BYI, #15 TAM, and #16 Colorado all losing, it opens the door for a 3 loss team. I dont think Alabama is going to be ranked below 14 or 15 come Tueaday.

Sorry, drank too much and lost the point. A 3 loss Georgia may just be still be in it too

Will definitely change but does make you think how match-ups are way more important than seeds. You could make a case that the 5 seed may have an easier path than the 1 seed with a bye if the 8/9 seed is Georgia or another tough team.

Kinda but there are too many 1 or 2 loss teams in the B10 and ACC to allow that to ever be explained without the word "bias"

Now we know those schedules are weak and the conference is as well, but the rest of the country doesn't feel the same.

2 Losses to unranked teams. 🤔 and a 3rd loss should = 🥾

If it is at Athens, I hope not!
UGA will either have a bye or be a 3 loss team, and they say teams won't get penalized for a CCG loss, but they're also lying.

Depends how things work out, but they're probably either top 4 or 8+ seed because 10-3 is 10-3 no matter how tough their schedule was.

Agreed. Yesterday they kept saying Bama’s playoff hopes LIKELY ended. I was thinking, Likely? Tn had two losses and was doubtful, but Bama who we beat can lose 3 and its not definite?

Given the committee is chaired by a Big 10 AD I think they are going to heavily punish Bama in that ranking (moreso than the media and coaches). Manuel is going to remove all doubt when it comes to Bama. Frankly SC has a better argument now than Bama especially if they beat Clemson.
