probably seen this before, but check this out...

House #1 A 20 room mansion ( not including 8 bathrooms ) heated by
natural gas. Add on a pool ( and a pool house) and a separate guest house, all heated by gas. In one month this residence consumes more energy than the average American household does in a year. The average bill for electricity and natural gas runs over $2400. per month. In natural gas alone, this property consumes more than 20 times the national average for an American home. This house is not situated in a Northern or Midwestern ''snow belt' area. It's in the South.

House #2
Designed by an architecture professor at a leading national university. This house incorporates every 'green' feature current home construction can provide. The house is 4,000 square feet ( 4 bedrooms ) and is nestled on a high prairie in the American southwest. A central closet in the house holds geothermal heat-pumps drawing ground water through pipes sunk 300 feet into the ground.

The water (usually 67 degrees F.) heats the house in the winter and cools it in the summer. The system uses no fossil fuels such as oil or natural gas and it consumes one-quarter electricity required for a conventional heating/cooling system. Rainwater from the roof is collected and funneled into a 25,000 gallon underground cistern. Wastewater from showers, sinks and toilets goes into underground purifying tanks and then into the cistern. The collected water then irrigates the land surrounding the house. Surrounding flowers and shrubs native to the area enable the property to blend into the surrounding rural landscape.

HOUSE #1 is outside of Nashville , Tennessee ;
It is the abode of the ''environmentalist' AL GORE!
HOUSE #2 is on a ranch near Crawford , Texas ;
It is the residence of the President of the United States ,
GEORGE W. BUSH!
An ''inconvenient truth'.

A bowl or j is much, much, much, much, much less harmful than a Marlboro cig or any cigar. If you think weed is dangerous, you're an idiot.

I will tell you this, smoking an unfiltered joint a day is just as bad as smoking about half a pack of filtered cigarettes a day. Plus, you inhale and hold the marijuana smoke there MUCH longer than you do a cigarette. So basically they are both just as dangerous, it's just your choice which one you do. The only thing that cigarettes have that marijuana doesn't is nicotine. If marijuana had nicotine then smoking it would be MORE dangerous than cigarettes since it would be just as addictive. Addictiveness is what makes anything dangerous without some form of moderation.

Really?? Why don't you prove it then instead of posting it has with no evidence?? Bush's house is one of the most eco-friendly houses out there. Trust me when I say that Gore is no friend to the environment without money lining his pockets first. Even then it's still debatable.

I'll go by this until shown otherwise, thanks.

There is another link within that article, Gore pays more money for "Green" power, and hit "carbon footprint" is apparently zero. At least if memory serves correct, I don't have time to read back through and give you specifics. Just because snopes says true doesn't mean there is not more to the story.

What about the man made chemicals that go into every cigarette? I believe its upwards of about 100.

Maybe Al Gore is using a lot of electricity to grow some weed, he said he was going green.

It's just as bad if you look at it from the tar, but I don't know many people that smoke a joint a day. As for carcinogens, here is the best thing I have found

Effects on the Lungs
Numerous studies have shown marijuana smoke to contain carcinogens and to be an irritant to the lungs. In fact, marijuana smoke contains 50 to 70 percent more carcinogenic hydrocarbons than tobacco smoke. Marijuana users usually inhale more deeply and hold their breath longer than tobacco smokers do, which further increases the lungs’ exposure to carcinogenic smoke. Marijuana smokers show dysregulated growth of epithelial cells in their lung tissue, which could lead to cancer;8 however, a recent case-controlled study found no positive associations between marijuana use and lung, upper respiratory, or upper digestive tract cancers.9 Thus, the link between marijuana smoking and these cancers remains unsubstantiated at this time.

Now if you just smoke that one joint, you will not get as much in the way of carcinogens as you would from a half pack of cigarettes a day.

Back to my original point, how many people really smoke a joint a day? Heck I just smoke when I need some video game performance enhancement.

More potent weed is actually better for you. Plenty of independent and gov't studies have shown that smokers quit when acheiving a high, or drastically reduce the amount they are smoking. So, as THC has increased, people are having to smoke less (and injesting less of the additional chemicals) now than they did in the 70s when joint after joint would be passed around all night. Trust me, if you get some kind bud nowdays, you don't (and 99% of people wont) smoke it joint after joint after joint. You smoke a bowl or two and you're good for an hour, two, or three.

One interesting movie that smokers and non-smokers would enjoy is 'Super High Me.' Comedien Doug Benson goes 30 days without smoking, then 30 day smoking all day, every day. Meanwhile, he has a doctor monitoring him and runnnig tests. Even though the doctor hates to admit it, smoking does relatively little damage to your health. Obviously the smoke will damage the lungs a bit, but sensory functions and memory/brain functions were virtually uneffected.

How many people smoke a joint a day? I know plenty that smoke 2, 3, 4 times a day and have for years upon years. There's a ton of people that are like this you'd probably never know.

And while we're on the subject, season 4 of 'Weeds' on Showtime starts this Monday. Good show.

I know 3 people who smoke more than one joint a day. Actually, they light up a fatty when they get off of work every day. It's quite amusing when they walk into work 30 minutes after they have gotten off to get snacks (employee discount ftw).
