Demanding over the allotted 13k tickets set aside for the student section for the Florida game.

This hasn't happened in quite some time

Where did you see this?

Student Vol Fans,
As of this afternoon, we've recieved requests for over 13,000 tickets for the UT-UF game! This request exceeds the number of tickets available in the student section.

Per our established process for games in which our demand exceeds the number of tickets available, guest tickets WILL NOT be assigned to your account tomorrow.

We did not encounter this level of demand for any home games last year. As a result, many students may not be aware of this part of the ticket process.

The process places priority on allowing as many students as possible to be in attendance at our biggest games. If you requested to sit as a group with other students, you will still be assiged to sit with that group of students.

Get excited for a full student section in one week!

Atrocious. Only 13k seats for the folks who pay tuition, room&board, "Maintenance" fees, you get it. If every damn student wants to be at that game, every damn student should have a ticket with their name on it.

How the hell did you post this already? I LITERALLY got the email, didn't even read all of it, and came here and it was already posted...well done sir. Volnation, where news breaks first.

We have it better than some places, friend of mine who has family at Ohio State told me they pay $300 or so to get four (4) random home games. They don't get to choose. Not sure if true, but still, thought it was interesting. If someone can confirm or deny I'd appreciate it.

Wouldn't surprise me with how they categorize their mailing lists. I'm a junior, but assuming we are on the same page that means freshmen got their emails first. ***** freshmen.

I agree with you. THIS TIME. Use to be a student...we always made a lot of noise. It helps.

While I agree with you completely, it seems like the email is suggesting that they will limit the non- student guests up to the actual number of seats in the "student" section. If they decline guest invites and there are still more requests than there are student seats available, will they make seats outside of the student section available for students?

I have a friend that goes up there, it's something like that but I can't remember the exact process. There would be a riot if something like that took place down here

Well that sucks, there were two people in my group that were hoping to get guest tickets. O well, same thing happened last year I believe. I guess our group will not rolling as deep as we thought.

Are they saying that zero guest tickets will be available, or basically students first, then guest tickets given to those who requested them first?

Hope not. That shows people that we never expected to win. I like the post....I like seeing that happen. But I hope we don't and just take it like we just beat a lesser team.

btw...I love goal posts coming down.

Eye actually agree.. But, that don't mean drunk students in drones won't break loose onto the field out of pent-up frustration from years of losing.. Just a thought.
