Student Ticket Problems Today

for all the $$ they've spent setting up an online system, they could have stuck with the lottery-type system in groups of 8 max (or whatever the latest rules were).... we used to get G or H in general... every now and then a D or E... that was half the fun of it... seeing how good your tickets were going to be

sorry they have changed their stuff since I last read it all. I used to have you printing off the voucher then getting a actual ticket at the ticket office. That pisses me off that I dont get a actual ticket.

No because all the nerds and losers will go really early while everyone else pregames the game. Then the stands will be full of terrible people and we will look terrible on tv.

That has to be some of the worst logic I have ever seen.

Friends...I am an alumni. This is what we like to call part of "the big orange screw." That is usually held for academics but can be reserved for situations like this as well.

Heh, the Screw never applied just to academics...we went through hell for football tickets, scholarships/financial aid, class selection, transcripts, dorm registration, parking, you name it! And if you worked part-time on campus, all bets were off.

But I'd do it all again in a heartbeat!

GO VOLS!

Just confirmed... section G row 53. Not terrible for having no points and being a freshman.

How is this the big orange screw? We were one of the last school to charge students for tickets and the new system has bugs. So what? I for one am happy I don't have to go stand in line with a bunch of whiny freshman fresh off mommy and daddy's gravy train. And you know what else, I love my assigned tickets. All 12 of the people in my group or grad students ao we have a average of 9 loyalty points. What else will you complain about?

this should be removed for the sake of UT's graduate program... :eek:lol:

I've got a question. So I just transferred here this semester, but I have almost 60 hours. Does that mean I get tickets like a junior would or am I getting tickets like a freshman since none of those hours were at UT? I mean section E row 46 ain't bad, right??

Man that brought back memories. Notre Dame was ridiculous.

I'll never forget that year...
Picked up our tickets... there were so, so, so many people on campus and on the strip that day. We'd heard what people were paying for them down on the strip, so being the poor college kids we were, we went to see if anybody would be willing (and/or stupid enough) to buy student tickets...

Got $100 for my single student ticket.

Walked back to Clement to watch the thing on the tv when one of buddies came in and said he had an extra student ticket that he couldn't sell.

So then I went to the game.

Game not so good for us, but it was a productive weekend for me.

I'm pretty sure it's based on the number of hours you've earned at UT. So consider yourself lucky that you got a ticket.

Apparently people were put on the waiting list, which is surprising to me. I realize it's the first game of the season/ Kiffin era, but given our student turnout last year this was surprising to me. Just shows the excitement created by Kiffin and crew.

I've always believed that poor student turnout last year had more to do with the team's awful performance than the new pay system. There's no way tickets for WKU would have sold out if Fulmer was still here.
