UT has always had student seating the difficult way.
Just have the student sections roped off and have open general seating, first come first serve, Show your student ID at the gate and walk in.

You could save probably $500,000 in personal cost in shutting down the student ticket office and fire whoever came up with the government program like loyalty program.

+1. I remember the line into the UC wrapping from downstairs back up the stairs, down the hall, out the doors facing Neyland, continuing all the way out to the main road and up to the library. Good times. Grad 03'.
