Strong words from Arian Foster

I think the timing of said fumbles was particularly devastating.. I think that's the main cause for the added attention he got for them.

He would've probably gotten along better with the TN media if he tried talking to them in English instead of Pterodactyl.

no fumbles are good, but untimely ones tend to get amplified. I bet his fumble against UCLA still keeps Fulmer from sleeping some night.

AF was a solid Vol and things have definitely turned out great for him, which clearly he deserves. Hopefully he'll embrace the Dooley led Vols and be a positive influence on our RBs moving forward.

I know he has done well in the NFL and I am very happy for him, but I used to crinch eveytime he touched the ball inside the 20 or when we needed to sustain a drive to run out the clock.

To be fair, we also bash the hell out of the local media for the way they report team issues.

He didn't fumble much. He fumbled less in 07 than Moreno, McFadden, or Felix Jones. He also had an opportunity to ice at least 4 games if he doesn't put the ball on the turf at crucial times.

It would be weird & infuriating, that if in a couple of years you look up the top 5 rushers in the league for the season and see Montario Hardesty & Arian Foster"s names there.

important fumbles at important times. Penn State. uggggh

Hard for me to kill him for that one. Red zone fumbles are never good, but we had plenty of time to recover from that one and didn't. Same goes for the one against SC.

What a damn baby! When you go from a 1100 yd season your junior year to a 500 yd season your senior, AND you fumble at the goaline on numerous occasions.. Your bound to catch criticism! What angered me about Foster other than his fumbles was his attempt to break it outside on every attempt.

He clearly has figured that he can't do that in the NFL and is having success. Maybe he just has better coaching...

Tennessee legend Arian Foster is denial.

He had more game-changing fumbles than game-changing runs at Tennessee. Still a Tennessee legend though.

Most of Foster's problem was the offense he played in. The QB play in 05 and 08 was a disaster and the o-line got progressively worse every year. Every mistake he made was magnified.

what he said is true. our vocal message board fans are ignorant for the most part. but i wish he was mature enough to understand that they do not represent the majority. 8/10 loved him when he was here and still do. 2/10 didnt but they scream louder than then 8/10 that actually have a life and dont whine/moan on message boards 24/7

He probably does. He's smart enough to realize that in today's soundbite culture that the loudest goober doesn't represent the entire fanbase.
