strike one cDD

And all that great bleeding orange three star talent that everyone keeps talking about, you ever think they bleed orange maybe because we were the best team to offer them.

check their offer lists and see if that's true. I'd guess it's about as close to fact as the rest of your tired argument about 2nd year coaches taking over teams in the same state as UT is now.

I can tell you are a young punk kid, DD said that quote after Brown missed most of the summer and went AWOL. Speak the whole truth not just part of it. Bryce Brown went AWOL not DD. Bryce Brown left UT, UT didn't leave Brown.

I am a young punk, huh. see previous post about name calling and spell checking.

you understood it didnt you, who cares how it is spelled
You should. you're supposedly a grown man but continue to show your ignorance. I would be ashamed to know that I got past the third grade without knowing how to spell PRIMA DONNA. You also have spell check on your tool bar. Learn how to use it. :birgits_giggle:

because someone doesnt take the time to make sure something is spelled right in response on a message board doesnt make them uneducated or any less mature. As a matter of fact someone pointing out someone elses spelling in response and making fun of them is a better indication of maturity.

What school did you go to that you knew prima donnas in the 3rd grade?

BB didn't want to be a Volunteer and bleed orange. If he did he would have stayed here and not caused all of this drama. I for one think we are a better team without BB. We have plenty of talent in the backfield. Heck, imo Tauren Poole showed me more in the bowl game than BB did the whole year. We want kids that bleed orange and give it their all for this University.

ok, i am going to say it. I blame dd for bb. It was his responsibility to keep talent in knoxville. While i can understand that he didnt feel the need to recruit a player currently on the team, he should have. It is his job to get and keep talent there. You can say whatever, but when you have a talented player that wants a little coddling, you coddle, get him in spring practice, and then coach him. He should have handled that sooner. Also, i do not doubt that bb just got tired of waiting for dd, you think saban or meyer would let a 5 star talent sit for three days without at least trying to talk to them. Once bb expressed his concern after the coaching change he became a 5 star recruit with tn ties that our coach refused to try and recruit,

strike one dd, i will root for him and back the team, but this is his failure.

Do you really think he was something special? Did you watch him on the field? Do you think he gave 100%? Dooley is wanting kids that give there heart to the University and show good character on and off the field. I give Derek a thumbs up on this one. If you want to play for Tennessee you don't need to be persuaded. It's time to grow up and play.

All reports are that Brown is a good student and busts his tail in practice. He only came to UT because of Kiffin. When the staff that lured him here bolted for the left coast he was left high and dry. The new coach should have talked things out with him instead of trying to be a tough guy and making brash statements about how he wasn't going to recruit kids who were already here.

It's about putting the best team on the field. If Bryce were a thug, it would be a different story, but if Dooley thinks he can recruit and win by treating every kid the same way, he has a lot to learn. Coaches have to know who to scream at and who to coddle. This isn't 1950. It's a different world, not necessarily a better world, but the genie is out of the bottle, and there is no use complaining about it. The sooner Dooley climbs down off his high horse and realizes it the better.

In many ways Dooley is far more arrogant than Kiffin. If you know anyone who has worked with or for both of them, just ask. He acts like he knows everything. Micromanages everyone around him. Won't listen to anything anyone says, even though they may have been in their position for twenty or more years and are just drawing on their personal experience. Long story short, I think Dooley will be gone in three years if he doesn't work on his haughty off-putting personality.

Player after player talks about how Saban is a different guy once you get to know him, that the cursing, ranting and raving perfectionist on the sideline is not who he really is off the field. To hear his players talk, Saban is something of a players' coach. Dooley seems to have only emulated one side of his mentor. He brings the discipline but not the genuine concern for his athletes or his employees... from the guy who washes helmets to a five star tailback who just needed a pep talk.

ha-ha. Dooley's secretary is pissed!

Ok now we are struggling for topics....

How can anyone criticize a coach for denying a request that was texted to him? Coach is responsible for helping these players become a better team and better young men. I'm tired of this generation's reliance on texting for everything. It can be very convenient but there are times you need to man up and have a face to face. For those of you who don't like the decision, where is the line drawn when texting isn't enough. Maybe your future son in law will never have to sit down with you and have a tough conversation. Ridiculous!

This is the third set of parents who have accused Dooley of dishonesty. The writing is on the wall. You can choose to keep drinking the orange Kool-Aid or face up to the fact that we have a major ethics problem with our coach. We've hired a morally bankrupt attorney with no concern for the welfare of anyone but himself. Denying the transfer of a kid like Lamaison who has done nothing offensive to the program, who is only looking for a place to play his senior year, is just egotistical posturing. According to Chris Lowe, the Browns have been attempting to get a release since before spring practice, and each time they have been big timed by Dooley. Dooley is the one who recently sent an inappropriate text message, refusing to meet in person, saying no need to even come back out here. Dooley is a total piece of crap excuse for a human being. Compared to Doolittle, Kiffin ate humble pie and sang in the choir every Sunday. Mark my word, Deuchely will bury our football program.

He stands much less a chance of burying the program than people who call themselves fans and pose as experts on every intimate detail involving their beloved program. There comes a time when one must admit, you don't know.... Mark my word

This thread is your second strike.

I don't even know what to say about this post. It's so absurd and obviously written by a troll. You sound like a teenage girl talking about the boy she likes after he rejected her. Or maybe you're a former client of Dooley's who didn't win their case?

We had a character issue at Tennessee, so we hired a soulless lawyer, who has already been caught in three barefaced lies.
We have to have a sensational recruiter at Tennessee due to our geographic disadvantage, so we hired a guy no one has ever heard of.
We have to have a coach who can do more with less for a few years due to the attrition we've suffered as a result of coaching change, so we hired a guy who just went 4-8 at La. Tech.

Once Bryce takes his story to ESPN, and it is revealed that Dooley flat lied to the press about Douglas, Lamaison, and now Brown, maybe the honeymoon will be over, and we can start looking for a coach.

Sounds to me like the going has gotten alittle tough under Dooley with respect to how he expects these kids to act and when the going got tough, BB quit. you don't need quitters on the team and it is better to find out that BB is a quitter now than find out in the fourth quarter in Bryant Denny Stadium. Screw him, focus on what you have, y'all are Tennesse for God's sakes.

When they hire you please please please keep me in mind. I'm a defensive genius. And really good with landscaping.
