strike one cDD

If CDD would just give all five star players special treatment I am sure TN will win championship soon.

:D

I have not said that.

lets be honest.

BB was a high profile recruit with alot of talent. likeit or not. He was promised alot by the previous staff, that left! I am sure he was worried about the new staff and their direction, he was recovering from injuries, so he went home to think about his options, but before he left, he had the corteousy to tell his new coach that he is thinking about not coming back and wanted to rethink his options. DD dont like that, says fine. And then reports BB is no longer part of the team. Spring practice rolls around,bb dont show, still thinking about his options and getting healthy. Just before fall camp starts he comes back, DD still pi$$ed that he wasnt there for other team activities still tells press only that BB is not part of the team, and then dont even take the time to go talk to him after he came all the way down from kansas to talk to him, and basically treats him like ill get to ya when i get to ya. I would have told him get bent, and left too. and so would most of you on here that are bashing my opinion. what scares me is the fact that i am the only one expressing this and higher expectations, which is exactly why we had a guy at head coach ten years past his prime.

:horse:

His dad wasn't going to let him stay anyway. LWS has said this many times and he is usually spot on with his info.

Coach Dooley wants kids who want to be at TN. His words, "I want them to bleed Orange!" Bryce Brown, like Coach Dooley's predecessor, does not want to be at TN and does not bleed Orange.

I read where DD said he had a meeting scheduled on Monday... a meeting that BB rescheduled. I read where BB skipped the next one too.

I have NEVER read anywhere but from you here that DD didn't make himself available to BB.

Please substantiate your claims.

that is innacurate, all reports say that DD was on his way to this or that, none show he scheduled any meeting with BB until the day he left and it was for later in the day. post on this board are not fact.

ok, i am going to say it. I blame dd for bb. It was his responsibility to keep talent in knoxville. While i can understand that he didnt feel the need to recruit a player currently on the team, he should have. It is his job to get and keep talent there. You can say whatever, but when you have a talented player that wants a little coddling, you coddle, get him in spring practice, and then coach him. He should have handled that sooner. Also, i do not doubt that bb just got tired of waiting for dd, you think saban or meyer would let a 5 star talent sit for three days without at least trying to talk to them. Once bb expressed his concern after the coaching change he became a 5 star recruit with tn ties that our coach refused to try and recruit,

strike one dd, i will root for him and back the team, but this is his failure.

Silly. :bad:

you should have known you would open the floodgates on this topic !! at least 80 % agree that bb is a coddled prima donna !! you have a few that agree with you but overall it's hands down that were glad he is gone !! don't you think coach didn't sit down with this kid and ask what was on his mind concerning u t football ? i bet you he did. i could go on and on about this, but the fact is he's gone and good riddance !!!:dance2:salute:  :  :clapping::clapping:

Forget BB....he obviously didn't want to be here.....has nothing to do with Dooley....has more to do with that a** bag Kiffin....it's what happens when you get lied to

We have no backs even remotely on BB's level on campus right now, and having Brown would have surely helped us this upcoming season.

I'm sure they can find someone who rips the WKU's of the world, runs up blockers' backs, and avg's under 4 ypc vs real competition somewhere.

I'm being harsh on you, not BB. I hoped he would stay. I think he has good but raw talent. But he was not a proven talent. As someone else alluded to, previous #1 RB's have come in and immediately been starter caliber players for very good teams.

Just based on his performance last year, I saw alot more Lennon Creer in him than Adrian Peterson.

From what I've heard Dooley scheduled two meetings with Bryce, both of which he skipped. I'm 100% positive Dooley is extremely busy and if you think he should drop everything he has going on for ONE player, and chase after him begging him to pleasssse meet with him, you're wrong.

Dude think about it..the reason DD said he wasn't on the team was because he was not going the agree with BB's terms.. So he knew BB was leaving..

Proof please.

Dooley scheduled not one, but TWO meetings. Bryce skipped both. I'm 100% positive Dooley is extremely busy and if you think he should drop everything he has going on for ONE player, and chase after him begging him to pleasssse meet with him, you're wrong.[/QUO

no he didnt, quit getting your facts from a post

Yet 90% of this board has jumped on the Tauren Poole train based largely off a few "heart of a Volunteer" tweets, and 3 garbage time carries against VT's 2nd string defense in the Peach Bowl

I'll need proof.

besides I couldn't care less. It's water under the bridge. If Bryce wanted to be here, he would have went to practices like he was supposed to. I'm not going to say "good we didn't need or want him anyways" it's naive. But what Tennessee does not need is players who do not want to bleed orange.

One word - Idiotic!

I bet every one of the players you are referring to had a little bit better blocking in front of them than the walk-on Sullins brothers.

When an SEC player says, ya know, I think I'll just take spring practice off ... then there's issues within that player, and you can't put that on the coach.
