strike one cDD

ok, i am going to say it. I blame dd for bb. It was his responsibility to keep talent in knoxville. While i can understand that he didnt feel the need to recruit a player currently on the team, he should have. It is his job to get and keep talent there. You can say whatever, but when you have a talented player that wants a little coddling, you coddle, get him in spring practice, and then coach him. He should have handled that sooner. Also, i do not doubt that bb just got tired of waiting for dd, you think saban or meyer would let a 5 star talent sit for three days without at least trying to talk to them. Once bb expressed his concern after the coaching change he became a 5 star recruit with tn ties that our coach refused to try and recruit,

strike one dd, i will root for him and back the team, but this is his failure.

Compared to the mass exodus that occured once K was hired CDD is doing okay.

kk, so if kiffin would have said I talked to bryce in december, and then bryce came into town in feb, but kiff too busy, we would have thought that was acceptable

Dooley told Bryce that all he had to do was unpack his bags and give his all for Tennessee, he said that much in one of the three videos of DD talking at the rotary lunch. Obviously Bryce wasn't willing to do that.

SMG is that you? Do you have 2 screen names?

if dd contacts clowny this week, talks to him, then avoids him the rest of the recruiting process, I guess it is ok. We dont need 5 stars anyway.

Is that CLT with Clowny?

Dooley shouldn't waste time on players unless they are five star high publicity recruits that get the power T splashed all over ESPN. TN coach needs to treat five star players better than the other players and give them special treatment, more playing time regardless of results.

DO YOU KNOW HOW THAT SOUNDS!

This is pathetic!!!!!!!!!!! That is what is wrong with a lot of these players No one player is bigger than the team this is supposed to be a team sport and we do not need to have to take time to show a 5 star special treatment. He will get his reward after hard work and it comes in the form of championships, individual awards and NFL contracts. Kudos to CDD

never said he was the only important player on the team, just that dd has the responsibility to keep the talent on the team, he didnt.

I think BB was waiting to see if DD was going to let his brother come to tn like lk was going to do.. But DD don't play like that.. That's what I think

BB wanted to ask DD to STAY....yet LEFT without even meeting him....OK!

Didnt really show much motivation....must not have wanted it very much.

ok, i am sure that if there were other 5 star recruits in knowville for three days and the coach wouldnt take the time to talk to them, they would have stuck around. All dd did after bb expressed his disappointment that his recruiting coach left and he needed to rethink his options, was repeatedly tell the press and everyone that he was not part of the team. And then when he came to town to talk to him, he avoided him and basically told him I will get to you when i get to you. I am pretty sure that is some quality recruiting.

Is that the Lane Kiffin qoute from Tigerbeat Magazine?

BB and family thought they could "muscle" CDD into taking his brother. CDD was not about to waste a valuable scolly on a fringe player just to appease BB. BB will not be the "star" at KSU that some on this forum think. BB was always more hype than substance. In ten years, he will regret his decision, except for being on the same team with his brother. Let the BB circus move on.

You are a dweeb!!! I don't know what BB's problem is, parents, homesick, or LameKitten's promises, but you can't let a player act like he is above the whole team. I really question whether or not he was a 5*. He appears to be headed for a mediocre career. Think about RB as the #1 recruit, name one that didn't start as a freshman.

As funny as this is there are people that really think this way..haha

This! You really think Saban or Meyer would really re recruit a kid that didn't want to participate in spring practice...

I don't really blame DD for losing Bryce Brown, he had his reasons for not trying to convince him to stay, whatever. Even if he had done what the OP was suggesting, I doubt it would have made any difference. BB and his family simply didn't want him to play football here.

But here's the fallacy with the argument about Saban or Meyer not sucking up to a kid to get him to stay. They're at a point where they can just tell a kid to hit the bricks and there is somebody just as good or better waiting to fill that spot. Not so much at UT these days. We have no backs even remotely on BB's level on campus right now, and having Brown would have surely helped us this upcoming season.

his treatment of bb tells me this program waits for no man, child in this case, but bright side is it makes me feel better about rogers situation. he is not afraid to boot any player, five star to walk on. so maybe rogers was a peacemaker after all. been payin for it with extra conditioning for sure. bb gave us one year and six hundred yards. let it go and wish good luck to the obviously troubled young man

look it up genious and start naming where my expectations are not backed by previos hystory in college football. You are so smart you probably know enough that you dont need facts to back your opinions though.

I read where DD said he had a meeting scheduled on Monday... a meeting that BB rescheduled. I read where BB skipped the next one too.

I have NEVER read anywhere but from you here that DD didn't make himself available to BB.

Please substantiate your claims.

All in favor of CDD's treatment of the BB saga state so by posting AYE.

Opposed - NAY.

Not having Bryce Brown on the team after 6 months of I'm gone-maybe I'll stay-I'm gone again is fine with me. I wish him the best but good riddance. By the way, I think he would have only gotten limited carries this season anyway, barring injuries to other backs of course. He was never the best back on the team and he couldn't handle that. Bye bye Bryce.
