Marotti's Gators - Gainesville Community Blogs

I was reading this article about the gator's s&c program. It really had me thinking about how important that aspect should be to a recruit. I know that with coach Smith we have made a huge upgrade in that area. I think that if you have aspirations to make it to the league then a recruit should really be concerned about getting their body to reach its maximum potential. You dont hear them mention that hardly ever.

i always thought rainey was too small and was only good in certain packages.
I watch football every Sunday and I don't see anyone who looks like you playing at the next level.
pretty funny what mariotti had to say about him

From what I've seen from Gator players their strategy seems to be mobility and agility drills than strength and conditioning. Sometimes their players lateral quickness is scary.

During our run from late 80's to early 00's our S&C program was considered a top program. It seemed to fall off like recruiting, discipline, intensity and W/L record.

""I love Jon Bostic," he said. "I love him not so much for his build, 6-foot-2, 235 pounds, but for his coachability, his work and his attentiveness. He's all business. Tebow said something about him today. He said, 'I like this guy, and not just because of football.' "

 The stench of love is in the air in gaynesville.
