I have two things I was wondering about since KM announced. Can our S & C staff give a recruit any training or nutritional recommendations while they are still in HS? Is KM an EE? I'll hang up and listen!

GO VOLS!!!!

These young men are in camp after camp for at least three years . Most know exactly what they need to work on and how to do it.

The rumor is he is attempting to qualify to be an EE, and that's why he changed schools for this year....I never saw anything definitely confirming this though.

Not only do the schools give them a conditioning and lifting plan, they are supposed to track their workouts. The reporting is usually mandatory at Div.I schools.

Incorrect. He transferred to Clayton Valley Charter entirely for the purpose of EEing. He wasn't able to at De La Salle, for whatever reason.

A lot of religious schools don't let you graduate early for some stupid reason.

Hey, my religion gives me Strength. And Conditioning. See? Back on track!

Seriously, how soon before we get to hear about latest gains/losses in weight for our current players, and their bench presses and stuff like that. Isn't that about this time of year we hear an update on some of that?

They definitely send them a program, so the incoming guys are working the way Coach Lawson wants them to. The intensity is probably not the same as on campus but at least there is some professional input.

I understand that there is a new Power Gym opening up in Middle Tennessee by a former Tennessee Titan strength coach, who was a former VFL football player and another Tennessee weighlifter grad who also runs it. Perhaps, they would be interested in training area high school football athletes on nutrition and a strength program as well. I won't mention the name or whereabouts unless the moderator gives permission, for advertising reasons.

Isn't his dad the GM for da raiders?

If so, he's probably getting S & C and nutritonal advice as well as coaching advice from Raiders coaches, unofficially to be sure, LOL!

Who can control where the young man goes and who he talks to on a Saturday or Sunday if he goes to work with his dad to hang out?

BrickbyBrick...VFL...GBO!!!

Incorrect. He said that was a false rumor and that he is not an EE.

I'm pretty sure someone posted it as a quote from VQ in his thread shortly after he committed. The thread is way too big to possibly find it now, but if someone was just messing around with fake VQ quotes that was a pretty crappy thing to do.

He said last night in a podcast that he wasn't planning on being an EE so i doubt that the change in schools was for that reason.

That's just a rumour

So what I've learned from this thread is that nobody on VN really has a clue as to the truth. Glad I cleared that up.:eek:k:

Did you watch KM's videos from the opening? How much stronger do you expect him to become? I think his Dad's connections probably provide KM as much lifting / nutrition knowledge as he will get at UT

The 180 on 104.5 The zone in Nashville had some national talking head on yesterday and when asked if KM was college ready the expert said, "No, he's not college ready, he's NFL ready".
