Strength coach making players run 80 yards up the Neyland ramp

Lol, none of this is any news for me sir. I was an Infantry Officer with the 82nd Airborne Division. How about you carry 100+ lbs on your back and walk at a forced pace over 16 miles and get back to me. I also ran at least 6 miles every other day.

I've played college sports, I have done hill sprints, I have done endzone to endzone sprints. Way more than 10 just for not making it all the way in playoffs.

Thanks for trying though.

I have never posted before but this irks me. Die hard vol fan, born in Johnson city, played baseball at MTSU. Ive currently spent the last 5 years at fort Bragg serving in 2nd brigade red falcons (1-325)and 3rd brigade (1-505) as well as LRS. 100 lbs rucks don’t happen very often, besides a 240 gunner or ag, officer has an rto so no heavy ass radio. I’m just curious how you get a 100 pounds. I’m not saying you are wrong but I’m curious.

Nice to see you played baseball at MTSU. In many situations I've had rucks anywhere from 65lbs to 100lbs. Being in the 82nd you should know that most officers jump their own radios to include extra batteries. If they dont, that's crappy on them.

Also, being from 2-325 (White Falcons) we had a LTC who decided to make the Heavy Weapons Platoon carry the 50 Cal. Plus our rucks that was an awesome experience.

Numerous times the scouts or mortar platoons had rucks or overall loads close to 100lbs. Just because I said ruck doesn't necessarily mean all the weight is in it. Mortar guys carry the base plates, radios, etc. Not to mention your normal combat load and other gear associated with that.

Anyways, my point was that making guys run 28 - 100yd sprints isn't a big deal. You being a college athlete should agree with me there. (That's what my post was in reference to)

BTW COL Beaudoin is a good guy and COL Work is a pretty good guy as well. (I know both of them) if you deployed with Red in 2016 to Iraq, I just missed that deployment and went to a different job (not in the Army anymore)

Enjoy your day! And as always!

All The Way!

H-minus, his change of command was yesterday in fact. Pike field, they are really stressing lighter rucks now. almost forcing assault pack jumps now, it’s getting a little ridiculous lol. Anyways, hope you’re going to Charlotte for the game, need a tailgate place I’ll have one.

Wish I could. My job is taking me to Boston, I am a little frustrated that the Vols finally have a game in North Carolina and I won't be there to go!

Edit: I suppose they got tired of all the jump injuries plus having issues filling C-130s with a full Combat load. Don't miss the days of my legs going numb from having someone else's gear on top of me lol!

Lol, no problem man. I remember my first Chinook jump and how smooth it was. Lol tons of space on the Chinook no crowding and just walk right off the ramp, perfectly opened chute.... Ahhh good times. (Forgot to add the extreme amount of sweat pouring from you because you got rigged up out in the sun and had to sit back in the sun until your lift)

Dark grey and black are pretty darn close in color. That, too, is reality. At some point, it's splitting hairs.

Y'all are veering into my wife's world, now. "Is that burgundy or mauve, do you think?" "Which goes better with my eyes, the chartreuse or the peach?"

Hell, men, get it together. Put it in the "don't care much" category, and move on. :)

It's the off-season where uniform discussions are of most importance. :)

I surrender lol. Every pic I look at looks black but I have not seen the jerseys close up so you know better than I.

I could be wrong but I have a feeling we are about to see some changes (hopefully back to classic striping or solid white pants, maybe black outline) in 2019 though. Phil and JP > Nike's brand vision

How dare you think something that looks black is actually black.

If wife says so, better stick with her opinion (at least on paper or in front of her, lol). At this point of off season conversations, we’ll debate cornbread.
