Thanks for the help smartass. If this would have been the 15th about it you might could have said something, but you are just being a prick.

I've already checked eapn360 and they are showing another game.

there's your problem, eapn360? kidding.

And you must be new to the espn3 game bc they show dozens of events live at the same time. They ARE broadcasting the Cincy game. And it's on espn2 so there should be no blackout online.

Thanks for the help. I'm going to play with the site at work this week to make sure it works. I haven't missed a UT game in a long time and was in panic mode.

No problem. I know the feeling. And I don't think it will be blacked out since it's their nationally broadcast game. We'll know later in the week.

If it is blacked out in TN, check back later in the week for a link to justin.tv where someone will for sure be streaming.

My ignorance somehow kept me from picking up the Justin stream although I had the passcode. Kept getting the $9.99 screen to join. Any ideas? Thanks to other einstein's on VN, I was able to watch via Hotspot even though my IP did not pick up ESPN3. GBO!!!

Not sure if it happened to you like this, but my brother kept getting the game message. Turns out he forgot to shut off Hotspot. After he turned it off he was able to stream it on Jtv fine. :)

Even if it's on tv it can still be blacked out on espn3. I live in SC & the USCjr vs ECU game was on on tv but blacked out on espn3.

Justin.tv worked great for me at work this weekend. Got the link and passcode from someone on an ESPN chatroom.

Thanks - I did keep Hotspot active just in case. I am sure this was the problem!

There's a difference between a local broadcast and the national game on ESPN2.

ESPN2 everyone can watch across the country so it makes sense why it wont be blacked out. Not saying it won't be blacked out, but I'm willing to bet it won't.

Why is an event blacked out?

This is because the event that you requested is not available on ESPN3 in your market. Blackouts apply to broadcasts that have been sold regionally or locally per league, conference and local rights holder agreements. Regional and local rights holders are usually broadcast stations or regional sports networks. Blackouts are implemented to protect the primary rights holder, as defined by the professional and college sports leagues or teams in a given market.

Help!!!! I am in a rehab in b'ham and I am the only VOL fan. Bama game is on at the same time and my only chance to watch is via internet. Problem is my IP does not carry ESPN3 and now I cannot access Hotspot Shield for some reason. JeepJeep is at the beach. Any ideas how I might catch the game on the web? GBO

I Can Help.. follow these directions

A) Find a big stick

B) Turn game to the Vols on the TV

C) Knock out any bammer who tries to say anything about it..

D) take pics of the damage and Post them on volnation so we can all laugh at the inbred bammers.

Hope this helps :hi:

This game will not be blacked out on espn3. How to check you say? Go to Espn3.com and click on upcoming events. Select Sept 10, scroll to 3:30. Notice it doesn't say "Subject to Blackout" in blue.

Go to the Florida vs UAB game and click on Subject to Blackout. This game is blacked out in TN along with several other states.

until I am offered a better alterntive to watch the game, this will be my plan A. Not the answer I was searching for, but funny nonetheless, F--- these bama fans. Bufford Pussor was from Tennessee wasn't he? GBO

If worse comes to worse use Watch live sports online at ILEMI

The streams aren't the quality of ESPN3, but they suffice.

If you have an Android you can stream pretty much any sporting game from this website for free. NBA, MLB, NFL, NCAA, etc. For those with the iPhone... sorry, but the site uses flash.

I'm not sure what you guy's have at UT but...

At UC we have a system where students can VPN into UC's network (it is meant for accessing certain resources, such as online books from the library). One of the benefits of this is that all college campus internet has ESPN 3. So from any ISP I can log into our network and then log into ESPN 3.

Just throwing that out there if you are still a UT student and have a VPN service like UC. It seems like you do... I can't find the exact link for it, but here is a FAQ on your VPN service. http://oit.utk.edu/helpdesk/kb/31/
