Charlie Ergen is the Founder and CEO of Dish Network... He is a UT alumni and gives a whole bunch of money to the school.

Probably has something to do with it.

I actually enjoy Dish over Direct- I get calls and emails from Direct wanting me back weekly- not happening

Dish is way better than DirecTV...I've had both within the last 6 months, and actually am stuck with DirecTV ATM...it sucks!

personally I'm glad UT has alumni with lots of money to give to the program. I didn't know the founder of dish network was a huge vols fan and I have been trying to decide between directv and dish. My choice is a no brainer now.

DIRECTV is far superior to Dish if you're a sports fan. No Sunday Ticket, MLB Network, and less sports in HD if you have Dish. The two are not even comparable.

This. Stuck with the dish for about 8 months now and have gone through 4 HD receivers. Customer service is much worse

Same here, and yes it is a cool story. Uverse is the be oh em be. Satellite is obsolete once Uverse comes to your area.
