With all due respect, Butch's Vols have broken plenty of nagging streaks. He needs to beat Muschamp this year though and get that monkey off his back

We got Arky two years ago. That's about as "bottom feeder" as you can get out of the SECw. Maybe Miss State? Otherwise, we've lost to everybody else since Butch and didn't do much better before.

They are learning how to win, they just need to learn how to handle success and keep their foot on the gas. Stay up for every game and find a way to win even when the breaks are beating the boys. It's a mentality we need to develop.

Well how freakin' long does that take? And don't give me this Dooley crap. He's been gone long enough. Plus, most posters on here were praising Butch back in '13 for instantly changing the culture.

Butch has at least ended a few of the extremely embarrassing streaks.

-First win vs ranked opponent since 2009 (USC 2013)
-First time ending the season ranked in the top 25 since 2007 (2015)
-First top 10 ranking at any point in the season since 2006 (2016)
-First win vs UGA since 2009 (2015)
-First win vs UF since 2004 (2016)
-First win in Athens since 2006 (2016)
-First win on CBS since 2010 and first win with Gary and Verne on the call since 2006 (UGA 2015)
-First bowl win since 2007 (2014)
-First win on ABC since 2003 (2016)

Winning the east is critical to 121 being a successful team. It's year 5, CBJ needs to figure it out.

I mean, top 10 in the country for several weeks and a 5-0 start was a good entry point. They just wore down as the season progressed after the gauntlet and like I said didn't handle success very well. Hopefully added depth will help. I'm not making excuses but this is officially Butch's first year with all of his players, so he has no more outlet of blame.

have to win ALL the games we are SUPPOSED TO WIN and win 1 or 2 we arent. Then the VOLS will be all the way back!

I don't think we will match up well with Bama this year. Their QB is not a great passer. I see them returning to the run game under the new OC. We are thin at DT and will be thinner by that game.

We will need a good balanced offense or they will shut us down playing man and putting 8 in the box.

Dobbs was the correct prescription. Imagine what we could have done two years ago if we were passing better at the time. A dual threat QB can beat that D because he can slow down the pass rush by running the read option, and buy time to throw.

Clemson could have won the natty easier if they had run the QB more.

Then we will be even more beat up on Dline when LSU arrives. And try will also be replaced Ning the ball. If we could make Bama an open date we could beat LSU.

I see us beating both Ga an Fl but loosing the he the e breaker and missing the seccg. Oh and we beat SC and Vandy.
