Was talking to a buddy the other day, we were talking about Malone and P. Williams. Odd turn, but we both were thinking about which former or current UT athletes do they remind us of.

I said I thought they reminded me of Hopson and Hubbs respectively. Unrealistic expectations coming in, incredibly highly rated, and both (to date) have yet to live up to expectations.

Curious your thoughts on the comparison. From a football perspective, the two most recent in production and size (not necessarily athleticism) I could really think of were:

Malone - Chris Hannon
P. Williams - Bret Smith

What other comparisons do you think of with these two guys?

I disagree with you for the first 4-5 games of this season on Malone. He was solid and a playmaker. Rest of his career so far you may have an argument.

At this point we already know what we have in Malone. Great deep threat and great speed but still doesn't know how to catch a pass consistently. Preston Williams is TBD. He's not the fastest but runs pretty good routes and for the most part plucks the ball out of the air like a receiver should, expect for that inexcusable Ohio play where he batted the ball up like he was setting up a spike play in volleyball smh. I feel if Malone would use stick em he would be ALL-SEC.
