It's pretty hard to arrest 20 thousand students

Not really. You don't have to arrest them on the spot. With video coverage these days and from so many multi-cameras, you can I.D. and go to their homes and workplaces and nab them days, weeks, or months later. Knoxville economy may get a big boost from so many fines so there's that incentive to get field rushers.

NO!!!!

The floriDUHHHH Gators are down this year and we should beat them so save storming the field for a really big WIN like at 7th ranked UGa or against number 1 ranked alaBubba.

We also don't want to tear up our field but we don't care if the field at UGa gets torn up, LOL.

Some kids or drunks will probably storm the field anyway but the majority of us should stay classy and act like we always knew we would be getting the WIN this Saturday.

Don't give the Gators any respect at all just like they've done us for so long.

VFL...GBO!!!

Since I'll be watching the game at home, if we win, I think I'm gonna storm my bedroom if you know what I mean.

we have looked pretty ridiculous over the last few years, why not add fuel to the fire by doing something crazy like storming the field if we beat a mediocre, (at best) over ranked FL team.

You only storm the field when you beat a top notch opponent that your not supposed to beat. That's not Florida this year.

What the hell do the students not understand about NONE OF THE ALUMNI(past players)WANTS THEM TO DO THIS! It is stupid.

I'm an alumnus and don't give a flip. Storm away, students!

What do some people not understand about the fact that THEY DON'T SPEAK FOR EVERYONE.

Just run all their faces through that CSI facial recognition software that can blow up and magically increase the resolution on grainy images!

:eek:lol:

smh...

I'm over 25 and voted yes, but only because I've always wanted to be at a game where the goalposts get torn down. The stadium staff TOOK them down at UK last year, but that's not really the same. As a UT fan who missed the 98 UF game, this is probably the best chance I'll have for a while. I won't be out there on the field, but I'd like to watch it happen nonetheless.

I believe Tennessee can beat the gators this year and will. To discuss storming a field prior to beating a team that has dominated Tennessee for darn near a decade is pathetic and premature. If storming the field against a team(Florida) that is as down as Tennessee has been as of late is what makes you feel more like a fan, then you deserve to spend the night at the pokey.

Catch em….test their IQ and if its below 90 shoot them….if not make them attend classes for how not to be an idiot…

And yes I know that’s going to have a significant impact on VN membership….

I live in Atlanta and they are talking about it around here. It is national news now that The KPD has warned UT fans not to rush the field. I sure as heck hope we beat the Gators. How pathetic and stupid is going to be if Tennessee loses after fans planned ahead of time to rush the field.

Last night, WVLT in Knoxville reported that security at the game will be greatly increased to prevent people from storming the field. People will be arrested ans students who are arrested can be expelled from school for the semester and may not be allowed to return. Those who encourage storming the field will also be arrested face the same charges. With this information, I hope students and young adults heed the warning and, for the sake of their family and the University of Tennessee, act as sane individuals. Have a safe and sane evening at the ball game.

As much as I want to win, I think this poll is premature. Many on this board are acting like we've already won. We haven't won anything yet and I'm afraid that some are acting like a loss would be almost impossible, like losing to Vandy. Let's win first and stop the streak. Overconfidence will get you beat. Expect to win, but realize that it's not going to be a cakewalk.
