We were students sitting in a lower section when we beat Florida in'04 and convinced our buddy we were all rushing the field. He rushed it by himself and was flat lined by a police officer before he even hit the sideline. Hilarious. We will be back this weekend for similar results. GBO.
Ive got mixed feeling, ive always dreamed of just stepping on the grass at neyland abd looking up at the stands, so if people do it, i just might have to join them..
I love how people are already talking about how we are going to celebrate a win that hasnt even happened. Lets just win the game and whatever happens happens. We have lost 7 in a row.Dear Student Vol Fans,
Thank you for making your plans to be in Neyland Stadium this Saturday to help cheer on the Vols to a win over Florida!
We want to give you a heads-up that fans will not be allowed on the field at any point before or after the game for their own safety. We have been told that the team will come over to the student section to celebrate a win with students after the game.
Many of you know of stories related to rushing the field at Neyland and other stadiums. You may not know that an SEC rule was implemented just a few years ago banning any fans from going onto the field. This policy goes beyond UT.
As a result of this rule and a concern for fan safety, local law enforcement is serious about preventing a field rush on Saturday. Anyone who attempts to do so will be arrested and face university sanctions as well.
For more game day information, including more about ESPN College GameDay, which will broadcast live from our campus on Saturday, visit UT Welcomes Fans, ESPN College GameDay to Florida Game Saturday | Tennessee Today.
Enjoy the day, cheer on the Vols, celebrate the win, and stay safe.
Go Vols!

Gestapo much?lol: nice move!!
Don't rush it I say. If I were the cops and they rushed the field I would lock down the field and not let anyone off of it. Make them sit there so they can't celebrate out on the strip. Seperate students from non students. Females from males, make them do push-ups and other calistitcs, etc. yall get the pt whatever to make it heck on their evening. Heck if they want to ticket them all to pay the fine and repair the field. KPD and UT can make a killing...$500+ fines. Students can't get tix to other games for the rest of the season, or ban them from getting student tix for Bama or other big games, or until they pay the fine. Hold their grades.
I know I know some of this may not be legal or feasible but I'm sure there r things that can be done if they prepped early enough.
What the hell do the students not understand about NONE OF THE ALUMNI(past players)WANTS THEM TO DO THIS! It is stupid.
