Storm Troopers for UGA Game

Call me old fashioned but I'm more worried about UGA than our uniforms.

Absolutely right. Not much into gimmicks like songs, phrases, uniform changes, etc. This team and staff need to develop a character, attitude, approach....whatever the term. A warrior mentality. I'm reminded of a documentary on GSP called Takedown The DNA of GSP. The UFC/MMA crowd will know who that is. He had just won the title and was making his first defense against Matt Serra. He kept hearing how great he was and that the fight vs Serra was a joke. GSP said all the right things but deep down, he'd listened to the media and hangers on. Took Serra lightly and got his arse beat. From that moment on, he took EVERY opponent deadly serious. Went into every contest with the attitude and outlook that he was literally fighting for his life. Yes, this is hard in a team sport, but I wonder what will happen on the field tomorrow? Is UGA our Serra? We really need that game tomorrow.

When the Vols traveled to face the Sooners out here in Norman, OK the fans were laughing it up saying the storm trooper uniforms looked like What-A-Burger wrappers.

Says the fan base whose own OK road unis look like Jack's hamburger wrappers!

So you are saying that you are upset that the team is wearing uniforms on Saturday instead of taking UG seriously?

I'm dying to see our Vols in white jerseys white pants but with smokey Greg helmets and undershirts... It would absolutely look awesome!!! We should start a thread up to petition the team to try that combo...cmon guys who's with me?

Also agreed. The late 90s - early 2000s road whites were the sharpest uniforms in football for a while, especially with that black trim around the solid orange. Just sharp sharp sharp. Big numbers. Big font. That's it. Nothing fancy. Just here to play some ball and whip some ass. And they hadn't really screwed with the shade of orange yet - not yet anyway.

Not to say anything positive about Florida, but both sets of uniforms in that pic combine for some serious nostalgia.

I say it's 2016 and if you still have a black and white tv you're too far gone. Both teams should wear their primary color on their jersey. The USC/UCLA game looks really good when they do that.

I don't love em, but I don't hate em. I'd love to see more white jersey/orange pants for the road.

Players have been picking this road combo. Don't see the wj/op option showing up for the near future.
