We're going to be the first of the SEC schools, with Auburn, to use the ESPN contract proceeds in our coaching hire decision.

Logically, we are very likely to set a new paradigm, if need be, to get the right coach for us.

My guess is that all of our "Dream List" coaches are well aware that the SEC is about to spend some money for the best coaches. The ante is going up and we're the tip of the spear. It's a huge advantage to the first out there with that kind of cash and I guarantee you that Hamilton is very well aware.

Expect us to get one of our dream list.

If I'm OU, I'm scared to death of Stoops' contract, because the new bar is about to be set in Knoxville.

Completely missed the point. Tennessee isn't going after Stoops, they are going to pay a coach a lot more than he makes.

I get it now. I would be shocked if Hamilton's contract offer is cheaper than what Alabama gave Saban. Hamilton will go all out.

That money definitely emboldened Hamilton, because he can do what he wants without the boosters.

I don't know that he has all of that money at his disposal, but I have to imangine that he's banking on a lot of it.

Stoops gets paid 6.5 a year. If we were to get a dream coach like Gruden, wouldn't we have to ante up more than 6.5?

Stoops makes like 3 million as a bonus for staying this long. It is certainly not his base salary this year.

I'd want Gary Patterson or Will Muschamp first, but after reading some people's theories on the staff that Kiffin would assemble I'd love to see him here as well.

In a dream world I'd want Gruden here, but I just don't see it. Then again, I don't know why his name keeps coming up so I wouldn't completely rule it out. If we go after Gruden I'd offer 4.5-5 million.

don't know, but the point is that we can. I fully expect us to use that money to get a coach who will more than pay for himself and compete favorably with the remainder of the SEC.
