I could watch How It’s Made all day. They have tons of clips on YouTube. We start there because the kids ask how they make whatever. So we find that clip but it suggests a bunch more and I start checking those out. After a couple the kids are like we don’t like this and I’m like shutup I’m learning how they make parquet floors. In my house the shows we watch with our 9 year old daughter during or after dinner are one of the following- Andy Griffith, Jeopardy, How It's Made, old school Looney Tunes or Tom and Jerry with an occasional Nova or Nature mixed in. My daughter loves Three Stooges as well but the old Tom and Jerry are her go to show right now.
And if CWV cant see that the father figure is the butt of every joke in every modern day sitcom...clowned for being a buffoon by both the matriarch and the kids...then he is simply willfully ignorant. As i said long ago in the post that nuclear quoted, once someone has told you of the pattern or you have realized it ypurself...TV will not be the same. The shows that were on when i was a kid treated dad with respect, if they were from before my time such as Andy Griffith, Beaver, etc..the ones that came out from the 90s to today are crazy disrespectful to dad. Many cartoons with families are the same way, and most cartoons now on TV arent even suitable for children anyway. Adult themes, drug use, sexuality, innuendo.
Nuclear, i enjoy all of the programs you listed. My daughter will be 11 in june, has a passion for science that i nurture, we watch lots of science channel, discovery, nova, BBC earth stuff etc...how its made is cool too. I told both my kids when they were small that a little TV for entertainment was OK, but there are lots of cool programs that were both entertaining and educational. We nerd out to those. Good times. Most of the crap on TV today is garbage
Women. That’s the only answer. Just, women.Ayesha Curry admits a lack of male attention makes her wonder, 'Is something wrong with me?'
Soooooooo......she WANTS men to act like men now? And she's upset that women are aggressive over her husband.....I am confused. Women can't be predators, right? Only men?
Feminists are highly conflicted beings.Ayesha Curry admits a lack of male attention makes her wonder, 'Is something wrong with me?'

I have long since railed against network TV shows. Thankfully, my kids dont want to watch them, because we don't.
In EVERY single sitcom on network TV, and now cartoons even...beginning in my youth and now epidemic...portrays dad as a bumbling boob, dumb, incapable, cowers to the all powerful matriarch...mom...and is the butt of every joke, every snarky comment, and all disrespect...from mom AND the kids.
That's what is portrayed...check your memory banks from about the time of him the tool man Taylor, Roseanne and dan...through now. Every single dad is a fool...what happened to father knows best? Leave it to beaver? Even the Brady bunch? 3hat happened to treating the man of the house with respect???
It's gone. Long gone.
Not in my house. Never had to say a word or put my foot down though. We never started watching that crap so we never had to stop. We watch duck commander, science channel, discovery , etc...when we watch TV
Which is very little. Too many better things to do.
