Stoops not impressed with TN home field advantage...

Why would he be impressed?

Checker Neyland vs Florida?

The last several years?

Neyland hasn't mattered in a long time. Hopefully that can change this week.

Respect must be earned. Winning is how we will earn respect.

Is there nothing you all don't get offended by?

There was nothing remotely offensive in that quote.

He didn't say Tennessee doesn't have a home field advantage.

All he said is that they are Oklahoma and they've seen this sort of thing before.

Neyland is in the upper tier of stadium environments for sure but they are not going to be intimidated by it.

I think some folks would only be satisfied if he just wet his pants when asked about Neyland.

No, but maybe a little more respect and acknowledgement

If you don't leave Neyland Stadium unable to speak from making noise Saturday night then you shouldn't call yourself a VFL.

It's hard to believe a program like ou hasn't ever played in front of 100,000 people. That will change this week. Stoops can say what he wants but Florida state and notre dame doesn't come close to neyland at its highest level. When Tennessee comes out of the T it will be something Oklahoma has never experienced.

This isn't about Stoops or Oklahoma, but about motivation for die-hard UT fans to create an environment that makes it difficult (if not impossible) to communicate normally.

Create confusion with just one or two players on a handful of plays, and that might translate into a couple of botched plays or even a turnover.

Momentum shifts will be HUGE Saturday night! Let's bring it as fans and do all we can to help............. Go Vols!

I've never understood how fans wait 8 months for a kickoff, spend 100's in ticket, food, gas and UT gear to show the colors then just sit there and watch?? Get off you azz and stand up and yell if you're tired of losing! I am!!!! And I'm so ready to stand for 60 minutes of football Saturday night and do what I can to help my Vols!

Apparently one of the reporters tried to follow to get him to acknowledge an away game at TN is different than a typical Big 12 away environment such as the Iowa states of the world. And Stoops said it wouldn't be any different for them than a typical big 12 away game.

Disrespect!

Most coaches Coming to Neyland acknowledge its one of the great venues in the sport, environment will be challenging, etc. not Stoops. We are no different than Iowa state! I think that is what fans are upset about.

Neyland is a great venue, but you can count the "good" wins in Neyland for the last decade on 1 hand.

"Disrespect" is they way our team has performed during that time.

I always carry a whistle in my pocket. When crowd gets loud, insert whistle in mouth and give air. I wrap my hands around whistle so people /ushers dont know what I'm doing. Saves my voice and gives more noise than I can make. Let's get er done Saturday night fellas! GO VOLS

There is always the variable of the home team's success (or lack thereof) at play and no crowd, even one of 102,455, is going to be cheering very much if their team is losing badly but give me a break with this... All things being equal on the field, larger does equate to louder especially in a fully enclosed double deck stadium such as Neyland. You are not going to convince me that any crowd in Manhattan, KS or even Autzen Stadium in Oregon has ever been as loud as Neyland was for Cal '06 or right after Wilhoit's game winner vs Florida in '04.

Thought the place was gonna come down in 04!
