Okay, so it's very easy to see just how good stokes is.

So, I wanted to talk a bit about what he needs to improve.

The only thing I have an issue with at this point is his free throw shooting.

His pre-shot routine is awful and the shot never looks good coming off his hands like it does when he is shooting a J.

What else have you all noticed about his game that needs improvement?

For the record, this is not a negative thread, just a different view. I think he is going to be a stud. Right now he is the best player UT has.

That, honestly is about it. Obviously defense too, but that's for every freshman.

All I see is his free throws being a problem. On D he looks lost sometimes, but his shot blocking is great.

Free throws and running bleachers is the only thing he needs to do at practice for a week.. Then he will be just as impactful as the last number 5 we had here in Knoxville.. We have been blessed with a superstar though thats for sure!

Free throws. Enough said.

Defense. He is getting noticeably better each game.

Offense. Screens and movement without the ball. He tends to stand and watch the ball.

He is a stud. For stuff to work on it is the FT and I would add that he needs to keep the ball held higher than chest high when he makes a move toward the basket inside. They will rake his arms/ball and strip it on occasion. He is also late to rotate down low when two guys are double teaming the ball.

He needs to speed it up and relax at the FT line.

Everything else is simply outstanding.

Stokes will be ok. I read somewhere where he has not been playing basketball except in pick up games. He has been at Tennessee for what a week? Not worried about Stokes. We do need a point guard. I can't believe Pearl didn't have a point guard for this team. Coach Martin is going to be great for Tennessee. Wait untill we get some more players when they see how Martin is going to be.

He has a nice touch, but has a lot of hand on that ball and ft's is a fingertip type shot, especially for a guy with huge hands.

He needs to remind me less of Karl Malone...wait thats not a bad thing is it?

As a fan you should be happy with him. Let his improvement areas be up to him and this coaching staff and stop finding stupid ish to complain about. It's pathetic and ungrateful. The kid had a great game on national tv against a top 15 opponent. Be happy and stop finding negatives. Jesus.

It is a negative thread. Why not say "thank you stokes for your efforts." let's not give this "different view" a chance to breathe because it shouldn't.

With that said, THANK YOU STOKES. Thanks for your effort and thank you to the Tennessee team for scraping and getting a huge win at TBA. Go VOLS
